He ticked that off in his mind. The students had been reported ill the day before, and now a teacher was sick the morning after. It could point to something contagious, or it could point to something that preyed first on less experienced magic users and then ate away at the defenses of those more experienced, but released by a single event. Still the fact that it had managed to affect a teacher was not a great sign.
"What is it like, then?" he asked. At the vague offer of nonexistent tea, he smiled faintly. "Don't bother yourself." He tried to remember if he'd even eaten today. Oh well, he'd make up for it later.
