Who: Cora and Newt
Where: Her place
When: Saturday (5/19)
What: Cora is bored. Tells Newt to come hang out.
Status: Complete
Cora was bored, but she was too lazy to actually get up and go out to do something. So, she grabbed her phone and texted Newt to come over. She gave him the address and then waited for him to show up. She had gotten up long enough to answer the door, though. Smiling, she opened the door wide enough for Newt to come in, closing it once he was inside. “Hey there, Doughnut Boy.” Yep, that was his new nickname. “Hope I didn’t pull you away from anything.” * When Newt’s phone beeped he was a little surprised. Both Brenda and Thomas were in the flat and he wasn’t quite sure who else might have his number. When he checked it he couldn’t hide the smile as he saw Cora’s name and invitation. He was up and out the door before either of his flatmates could tease him or stop him from leaving. He was a little out of breath when he finally arrived at Cora’s place and grinned broadly as she greeted him. “Hello, Doughnut Enabler,” he replied happily. “I passed on the word about those things to my friends, though I don’t know if they’ve tried them yet,” he gushed mildly. Newt shook his head, “I just got back from shopping with Thomas,” he said thrusting his arms wide and giving a tiny twirl. “Not sure why I did that,” he said with a meek expression, “sorry. So, how are you?” he asked. * Cora smiled a little when she tossed out that nickname for her. “If not, you should definitely get them some. And then you have to tell me if they acted like you when they ate them.” When Newt did his little twirl to show off his new clothes, Cora just smiled. “To show off your new stuff. You did good.” She sighed a bit. “Well, I was bored. But you’re here now, so let’s change that.” She grabbed him by the hand and started pulling him along to her bedroom. * “Trust me, I intend to make them,” Newt replied with a chuckle, “though I’m not entirely sure they’re as enamoured by this new world and it’s many edible delights as I am.” Mostly they seemed to be caught up in mourning Teresa, in Thomas’ case or trying to show Thomas that he didn’t need Teresa, in Brenda’s case. Why she just didn’t tell him she liked him he didn’t know! How Thomas was able to ignore it was even more unbelievable. It was like he was blind to it. Still, he’d tried, but his efforts clearly weren’t appreciated so he’d just watch them be stupid. Newt gave a broad grin as Cora complimented him on his new jeans and t-shirt, “first time I’ve ever bought clothes for myself,” he admitted, “so I’m glad you like them.” He was sorry to hear that Cora hadn’t been having a good day, “alright, what do you have in mind?” Newt asked as she took his hand and led him deeper into the apartment. “We could play some games, or maybe find a good TV program?” he suggested, “and I can make a really, really great grilled cheese sandwich after much trial and error,” he told her with a little pride. * “Something will get their attention.” If it wasn’t food, she was sure it would be something else. Other than that, she had no idea what else to say because she didn’t know his friends and where their heads were at. “First time, huh? You’re having a lot of firsts here, aren’t you?” Maybe she can continue to help him along with his firsts. As she walked, she glanced back at him when he started mentioning food again. The boy really was fascinated by the food here. “You can make me one later,” she told him with a small smile. “What kind of games do you like?” she asked as they finally reached her bedroom. She let him go in first before going in after him. * “I bloody hope so,” Newt said with a frown of mild frustration, “otherwise I might have to find some new friends to hang out with,” he told Cora with a raised eyebrow. Food might not be the be all and end all in life but he was really enjoying it, that’s for damn sure! “This whole world is a revelation,” Newt replied with a nod, “though I don’t understand why they make everyone either change in a big room together or a teeny cubicle no-bigger than a cupboard. You can’t even get a shirt on in those things,” he said as he followed her along, “as for the changing room - that shouldn’t be a thing. I went looking for clothes, not naked people. I think I’m slightly scarred by the experience,” he told her conversationally. He nodded happily, “I will do just that!” he promised Cora, “the secret is in the mix of cheeses,” he said heading through the door and coming face to face with her bed. Not what he’d been expecting. Not where Newt thought he was headed at all, in fact. “Umm…” he gave Cora a slightly nervous smile, all games suddenly escaping the reach of his mind as he took in the surroundings once more. “I like chess,” he answered the first game that jumped into his mind would do, even if he’d only played it on the computer once or twice and lost horribly. “You?” * “You have me,” Cora pointed out. She’d happily go out and explore more food with Newt if that’s what he wanted to do. “Because not everyone has those long limbs of yours,” she sort of teased. “But you have to try the clothes on before you buy them. Wouldn’t you hate it if you bought something, went home and found out that it didn’t fit so now you have to take it back and hope they still have it in your size?” Someone had been experimenting. “Is that so?” she asked. She shut the bedroom door and locked it before moving past Newt and sitting down on the edge of the bed. He was getting nervous. She could hear his heartbeat picking up as he glanced around the room, trying to find an answer. “Me? Well, it’s definitely not chess,” she told him. “You know you don’t have to keep standing there. Take a seat. Stay a while.” * That brought a stupid smile to his face as he nodded, “I do, don’t I?” he answered as he looked shyly at Cora. Besides, Thomas and Brenda were far too intent on their own dumb dance without him dragging them out for food experiences. Besides, Newt liked hanging out with Cora. Newt looked down at his legs, “they’re not that long,” he said with a frown, “besides, it’s still pretty tight in there! They don’t even give you anywhere to sit down and put your trousers on,” he said with a shake of his head, “which is difficult enough to do when you’re not in a cupboard-sized box.” So Cora had a point about making sure they had the right size, sort of, though he wasn’t sure what the problem would be if they didn’t. “I’d just choose some other trousers, wouldn’t I?” he said with a frown, “or was that the wrong answer?” He nodded his head happily, “you need something tasty and something stringy and they aren’t often found in the same cheese,” he said warming to his subject for a moment before he saw Cora close the door and lock it. Newt gulped, his mouth suddenly incredibly dry. Was she locking him in or them out? And who were they anyway? “So… no chess, then?” he said with a touch of panic that nothing Wicked had ever done managed to make feel quite so real. Newt gulped again and took a step closer and perched on the corner of the bed and smiled Cora’s way, “nice place,” he said, having no clue what else he could add at this point. Nothing. * Cora nodded her head. “Yeah, you do.” And she had a friend in him. The only one so far. She wasn’t exactly the greatest at making friends and being here changed absolutely nothing about that. “They’re pretty long,” Cora said as she gave him the once over. “They normally have a small bench to sit. They have hooks, too, to hang up whatever needs to hang.” She wasn’t sure where he ended up, but it didn’t sound normal. “Yeah, I guess.” Okay, now he was kind of making her want this grilled cheese sandwich of his. Later, though. “No,” she shook her head, “No chess. I don’t think we even own one in this whole house.” She hadn’t seen one. She watched him. He was far too stiff. “Loosen up,” she finally told him as she grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him a bit. “Why are you acting weird all of a sudden?” * He didn’t know quite why Cora’s tone made Newt smile quite so much, but knowing he had someone here that liked him felt good. Sure, he knew he could count on Brenda and Thomas, but it was also nice to have friends outside of the house. Someone he didn’t feel was more a brother or sister but actually liked him just because they did. “I’ve seen longer,” Newt said with a shrug, though he had to admit he was taller than many of the kids his age. “I sort of shot up when I left The Glade,” he said with a small shrug, “still not entirely used to it. Maybe they only have the benches in the girls’ changing rooms?” he suggested. He’d heard girls’ bathrooms were different too, though he’d yet to have a proper look to judge for himself. Newt saw the look on Cora’s face and grinned, “you see, I told you I know what I’m doing around a grilled cheese sandwich,” he said with a small swell of pride. “Umm, if I’d known I would have brought my computer,” he told her. “I’ll be honest,” he said looking Cora’s way, “this is all a bit new to me. You know, being in a girl’s room and… all.” Sure, he’d sat on Brenda’s bed all the time but she didn’t count, she was Brenda… which was probably a hint into Thomas’ mind, which he’d file away for later contemplation. “I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be weird,” Newt turned to face her and tucked his foot under him. “You’re really not like anyone I’ve ever met before,” he said with a shy smile, “and I mean that in the best possible way.” * “You are pretty tall.” She could just imagine him towering over everyone that he knew. Since he already kind of did that anyway. “Hm, maybe. I don’t know. I never ventured into the men’s dressing rooms. Never had the desire to do so.” Smiling, she waved him off. “Okay, okay. I get it. I will let you show off your sandwich making skills to me in a little while.” She shrugged. “We can find something else to do. I’m sure.” It wasn’t like she didn’t have her own laptop, but she didn’t want to be on that. If she had, then she wouldn’t have invited Newt over. “It’s just a room. Nothing to be scared of.” Why was he so damn cute? She could seriously just grab him and eat him up. “You have no idea…” He really didn’t. And he probably wouldn’t be sitting there next to her if he knew what she was. Not everyone took that news all too well. “You should relax, though…” She pushed him down with ease so that he was now lying down on his back. * “What, you’ve never even been a little bit curious?” Newt asked looking at her as if she might be an alien. “I mean, I’ve only been here a few weeks and shopping once and I was curious,” he said honestly and then realised that might be misinterpreted. “I don’t mean… while there was anyone in them,” he said looking at Cora in horror, “that would be weird,” and so wrong. Newt gave a broad smile, “you won’t regret it, that much I promise,” he told her with a nod. It might not be a doughnut but it was pretty bloody good and there was no getting around it! “Okay, it’s not nearly dinner time anyway,” he said happily. Just a room, “sure,” he said as his eyes flitted left and right around Cora’s room, trying not to look her way too much in case he blushed. “What do you mean?” he asked, catching a strange tone in her voice as she claimed he had no idea how different she was. “I didn’t mean in a bad way,” Newt quickly clarified as he was laid down, without his feet leaving the floor so that he was in a rough right-angle resting as little of himself on the bed as he was able. “Okay...I’m relaxed,” he said looking up at Cora, definitely a long way from relaxation, but slightly scared to admit it in case she came up with another way to make him feel at home! * Cora thought about Newt’s question for a moment before shaking her head at it. “No, not really. I mean, the girl’s changing room is messy looking enough sometimes. I definitely don’t want to see how bad the men’s changing room could get.” Cora started to laugh. “I get what you mean. Just don’t say that to anyone else. They might look at you and think you’re a perv.” She wouldn’t regret it, huh? Well, now, he was bold. “I’ll be the judge of that.” The look on his face and his quick beating heart told her otherwise. She knew his nerves were not calming. “Can’t talk about it…” she practically muttered as she got comfy down beside him. “You do that a lot. Have you noticed?” And just to clarify, she explained what ‘it’ was. “You’ll say something and then feel the need to say that you didn’t mean it in some way.” * “So, you take it as obvious that the boy’s changing room would be worse?” he asked eyeing Cora curiously, “we’re not all slobs, you know,” he told her with a small shrug. Okay, so he hadn’t exactly had the best start in life but he was incredibly tidy around the house, compared with the others, anyway. Then again they’d never had parents picking up after them either, so it made sense they’d be independent. “What’s a perv?” Newt asked, though he could guess, if he’d understood the context correctly. “I guess you will,” he said with a grin, happy to let her experience the taste sensation for herself. “Cora, I’m your friend, you can talk to me about anything,” Newt told her with a soft frown. Something was wrong with her and now he was concerned. When she pointed out the way he apologised for himself he was almost distracted enough not to think about her scooting down next to him… almost. “I suppose I’m not that used to talking to new people,” Newt answered, really trying to relax this time, “at least, not people that haven’t dealt with The Glade and Wicked. I don’t want to get it wrong,” he said with a simple smile, “because I’m not sure I’d know if I did or if you’d tell me.” * “Maybe not, but you’re all slobish enough.” Even with this discussion, it did not change her mind. Cora did not want to check out the guys’ dressing rooms. Ever. “Pervert. You know, someone who looks a little too much when they shouldn’t be.” They were friends. Cora just wasn’t sure how Newt would react yet to her being a werewolf. She didn’t want to scare him off. “I just don’t know if I can talk to you about this thing. Not yet.” She moved onto her side and propped her head up with hand. “You’re not getting anything wrong. And, trust me, if you did, I would let you know. I can’t have you running around this place making a fool of yourself.” With her freehand she reached over and pinched Newt’s cheek with a huge smile on her face. * Newt had to smile at her response and given the state of the dressing room she might have a point. “Oh. I see,” he finally worked out what Cora had been implying and shook his head, “definitely not a pervert. I don’t remember even seeing a girl until Teresa dropped into The Glade,” he told her. “We were all a bit curious about her, but it was clear she was Thomas’ so we didn’t...look,” he finished lamely. He turned his head towards her ever-so-slightly so that he could see Cora’s eyes, “I’ve been chased by robots, hunted by Wicked and killed by zombies,” Newt said with a teasing smirk, “I think it’s safe to say there’s very little you could tell me that would shock or scare me, so give it a try?” he suggested. Of course, if she didn’t want to tell him something that was okay, but from the way Cora said it it was as if she was looking for a safe place to talk. Newt would happily be that, if it was what she needed. “Well it’s good to know you’ve got my back,” he said with a grin as she pinched his cheek, “I’m really glad I walked into you,” Newt said feeling a little less self-conscious by the moment. * “That sounds like a whole other story to tell.” First a virus and not really knowing the normal world and now this information. Their lives seem pretty damn weird. Maybe that’s why they were all there. Their lives were strange or tragic and now they’re here for another chance. “If I told you…you can’t repeat it.” She didn’t know who was out there. There could be hunters or just people in general who hated the supernatural. She did not need to get tracked down. Not again. “Okay,” she took in a deep breath and said it, “I’m a werewolf.” Yep, she just did that. And now she had to wait for his reaction. “Me too.” She hasn’t hated anything about that day. And Newt was seriously becoming a good friend pretty quickly. * “I think,” Newt said with a short pause, “that Teresa is a story Thomas should tell you himself,” if he wanted to. Cora was going to meet him eventually and he didn’t want to prejudice any future friendship between them. It wasn’t his place. Newt frowned and nodded, “of course I wouldn’t tell anyone, if you didn’t want me to,” that went without saying. It was a big part of the code of friendship, wasn’t it? He saw how nervous Cora had suddenly become and instinctively reached for her hand and gave it a supportive squeeze. He hadn’t known what could possibly come out of Cora’s mouth but when she told him she was a Werewolf Newt’s face broke out into a bright smile, “you’re really a werewolf?” he asked as he looked at her harder, “like in the books? That’s brilliant! Can you turn into a wolf whenever you want? That would have made the maze a doddle,” he told her with a hint of envy. “Why were you scared to tell me that? It’s so cool!” Newt tilted his head to one side, “did you think I’d be scared of you?” * This wasn’t the reaction that she had been expecting. She was used to people freaking out about it. Not Newt. He seemed far too interested in the fact that she wasn’t human. Hell, he was already asking her a billion question. Okay, so that was probably better than him getting up and running out of the house like she had imagined him doing. “No, I can’t turn into a full wolf. My mom used to. My brother can too. Not me. It’s a rare thing for anyone to be able to do it,” she explained. “I was scared because I thought you would freak out and run. It’s not an easy thing to share. Especially where I’m from. Too many hunters want to see us dead.” * Judging from the way Cora was looking at him, that wasn’t the reaction she’d anticipated, but it was the only one Newt had to offer. He was always curious about things he didn’t know about and just finding out that werewolves were a thing was exciting enough without actually knowing one and talking to one! Newt listened as she talked about the things she could and couldn’t do, which he had so many other questions about, but the most important thing was that she’d feel safe talking about it all. “How could I be scared of you, Cora? I know you wouldn’t hurt me,” he said with a shy smile, “besides, I have a pretty good instinct for people who I can trust and you’re right up there with the best of them.” He frowned, “is this why you didn’t tell me much about your world? Because of the hunters?” Newt asked with concern, “well, they won’t hear about you from me, that’s for sure. Though he would quite like to tell Thomas and Brenda, but he would ask Cora when they’d met properly in case she didn’t like them. “So, what’s it like? Can you see in the dark and hear everything and smell everything?” Newt asked wide-eyed. * Cora shrugged her shoulders. “Are you so sure about that?” If she really wanted to, she could rip him in two. Not that she wanted to do anything like that to him. It was still weird that he was staying so calm about this. “Even though we barely met?” She smiled. It was a good thing to hear. They might barely know each other, but it seemed like their friendship was already pretty tight. “Yes. And why I wouldn’t completely explain a few things to you.” She had barely met him at the time. She hadn’t been ready to open herself up that much to him. Not until today. “Yes to all of your questions. As for what it’s like. I don’t know how to explain it because I was born this way. I don’t know how to compare it to anything else.” * “Pretty sure,” he said with a nod of his head, “you fed me doughnuts. Now, you might have been fattening me up to eat later, but mostly it felt like you enjoyed making me happy and someone like that isn’t about to start hurting me,” Newt told her taking the logical approach so that Cora didn’t think he was just impressed with meeting a werewolf.Of course, he was, but that wasn’t why he was so accepting of her. “I feel like I’ve known you a long time already,” he told her shyly, “then again, in my world people don’t tend to last long, so you make the most of the time you have.” “I can understand that,” he said with a nod, “especially if you’ve had bad experiences with people in the past. I mean,” Newt said with a tiny frown, “I’m not sure how easy it would be to trust adults, even ones in this world, because it was bred in us from such a young age to only rely on each other.” Maybe that didn’t quite mimic Cora’s experience, but it was something he could understand, at least. “Umm, of course, I should have known that,” he said with a chuckle, “if you’ve only had your own experiences you couldn’t know what it would be like to be different. It would be really cool to see in the dark, though,” Newt told her with a grin. * Cora laughed. “That could have been my whole reasoning behind giving you the doughnuts.” He had a point, though. So, she went along with it. “Trust me, I know how that goes.” And she has had bad experiences. Mostly whenever she was in Beacon Hills. “Not all adults are bad. Just most of them.” At least the ones who were hunters. Newt didn’t have to worry about that. “It is kind of cool,” she told him with a smile. “There is someone here who was bitten. He’d be able to tell you how different it feels.” She thought she would share that info, but she wasn’t going to say that it was Scott. Since first she’d had to see if it were okay to even tell Newt that he was a werewolf too. Still sort of smiling, she flashed her golden eyes at him. She figured he would end up asking to see it at some point. She might as well give him a glimpse of it now. * “Well, I’m on to you now,” Newt told her with a laugh of his own, “spend too much time feeding me and I might start thinking you have ulterior motives,” he said with a wiggle of his eyebrows. “You’ve lost people too, you told me that much, was it hunters?” he asked curiously, feeling the need to get it out there where they both understood one another. Newt gave a nod of his head, “I’ll take that advice and make sure I only trust adults that feed me well,” he said teasingly. If he ever made friends with an adult - though, what they’d have in common was a mystery - he’d be sure to keep it in mind. He didn’t like seeing Cora so sad, though and found himself giving her hand another gentle squeeze. “Maybe things’ll be different here,” he said softly, “better. For all of us,” he hoped so. They could all do with a break. “And you’re purposefully not telling me his name until you know I can be trusted,” Newt said returning her smile, “which is smart. It would be interesting to hear from him, though, just so I know what it’s like to be...well...you,” he felt himself go a little red. Did that sound creepy? He decided not to apologise this time, as he’d been called on that once already. “Oh, now that is really good!” the thing with the eyes was… wow! “Does it mean anything special, or am I just supposed to fall at your feet and roll on my back now?” he asked with a grin. * “Oops,” Cora played along. “It was. My whole family was in the house when they set fire to it. Some of them weren’t even werewolves.” She barely managed to get the hell out. At least she didn’t have it as bad as Peter had. “Only if they feed you well, huh? You won’t be making too many friends if that’s how you’re going to meet them.” She glanced down at his hand when she felt his reassuring squeeze. “Yeah. Maybe.” She hoped so. “Sorry. I have to ask him if it is okay to let you in on it.” She didn’t want to do something that Scott might not like. “I’ll ask him as soon a I speak to him again and then I’ll let you know,” she told him. “It’s just a little hint of my wolf showing.” She sat up. “Now you sound like you want a belly rub.” She moved until she was straddling his legs. Grinning down at him, she started to give his side and stomach a little tickle. * Her whole family? Newt met her eyes and shook his head, “I’m so sorry,” he meant it too. “They may have been werewolves but they were still people,” he managed, “like you.” He couldn’t imagine what it would have been like to go through something so terrible but he knew how he’d felt about his friends when they’d been captured or died. Crushed. But still having to go on without them. “They’d have to feed me really well,” he replied with a nod, “we’re talking steak dinners and the whole range of desserts,” he grinned. Newt wasn’t sure if Cora was just teasing him or if maybe people here weren’t as unusually generous as she was. Either way it’d take a lot to earn his trust. “It’s okay, just like I’d want Thomas to tell you his story himself,” he said with a nod, “shows you can be trusted,” he said with a smile. “Okay, I’d like to meet more of your friends,” Newt happily agreed and if the other werewolf would talk to him about the wolf-bits, that was just a bonus. “I think I like your wolf showing,” he told Cora with a grin before she’d hopped over him and started tickling him, “that’s not a belly rub! And I’m really, really ticklish!” Newt said rolling to avoid her fingers and eventually giving up and rolling her over, “and I might not be stronger than you, but I am quick,” he grinned as he looked down at her. Newt met her eyes for a brief moment and without thinking through the consequences he bent and gave her a quick kiss on the lips, then pulled away embarrassed. * “Let’s talk about something else.” She had enough of that subject. It wasn’t an easy one and she didn’t want to en up moody while hanging out with Newt. “Wow,” she laughed a little. “You weren’t kidding when you said that they would have to feed you really well. I’m glad you were happy with just getting doughnuts from me.” She was glad that he understood. It just made it that much easier. “It’ll happen.” Grinning, she kept tickling. “Oh. Are you? I hadn’t noticed!” she said as she kept on until he somehow managed to roll them over. If she had used her full strength, Newt would still be on his back and under her. “I can be quick, too,” she told him with a smirk. But she also didn’t mind letting him have the upper hand. For now anyway. What happened next, she hadn’t expected. He grabbed him before he could move fully away from her. “Come here.” Now it was her turn to kiss Newt. The only difference was, this wasn’t some peck on the lips. This was a real kiss. * It was easier not to think about the sad times, especially when you were having a good time with someone else, Newt understood that and gave a quick nod. He understood and now Cora had told him everything if she ever needed to talk she could. “I really wasn’t joking,” he answered with a soft chuckle, “but I guess you’re special,” Newt figured not just anyone would happily introduce him to doughnuts and get happy at the reaction. “I suppose you just know how to make me happy,” Newt said with a smile. He had every faith Cora would follow through and ask her friend, whether he’d want to talk to a total stranger about it was another matter. Either way Newt knew she shared his values on trust and that somehow made her all the more awesome, for all her werewolfery and doughnuts. Maybe that was where the kiss had come from, it’d come as a bit of a shock to Newt that he’d almost frozen when Cora grabbed him, wondering if she was going to hit him or shove him off. Instead it went a totally different way and for a moment his lips wouldn’t quite work in tandem with hers. Their noses bumped and for a moment their teeth scraped and then they were just kissing. Newt wasn’t quite sure how to breath but breathing started to feel pretty unimportant compared to stopping kissing. That was unthinkable! And when Cora finally took a breath he had only one response, “wow!” * “I didn’t think you were joking. Just wave some food in front of you and you’re smiling like it’s going out of style.” Was she teasing him? Yes, a bit. But it wasn’t in a mean way. “I know your weakness now,” she told him as she added an evil little laugh. Okay, so the kiss was kind of messy at first and noses were bumped and teeth hit in the wrong spots and it made her laugh a little. But after all of that, it pretty much went fine until Newt found his moment to speak again. “We don’t have to stop.” * “That depends on the food,” Newt told her with a nod, “and possibly the waver,” the serious face he’d pulled became a smile. It definitely made a difference that it was Cora, particularly now they were sharing more than food. “Oh, you know one of my weaknesses,” he raised his eyebrow and continued, “I have many. Good luck working the rest out.” Kissing was brilliant, no wonder people did so much of it! Newt felt like his stomach was doing backflips with how happy he was right now and it’d only ever done that for food! When Cora spoke he sensed he was missing something in the translation but now he had breath there definitely needed to be more kissing. He bent once more, losing himself in the mess of lips and feelings. Wow really didn’t cover it, he knew that much. Newt gently stroked her hair as he kissed her, just taking care to be gentle. How was this even happening to him, that he’d got a girlfriend before Thomas! It was unnatural. * Cora had no idea how long they had been kissing. It seemed like forever before she pulled away, needing to breath. That was really the only reason she stopped. Breathing was becoming an issue. And, well, she didn’t want to initiate more. Just in case it freaked him out. That was something that she didn't want. “You don’t have to be so gentle with me.” * Newt looked down at her with a frown of confusion as Cora spoke words that just didn’t make any sense to him. “Why wouldn’t I be gentle? I like you,” he told her with bemused shake of his head, “the last thing I want is to hurt you!” Just to kiss her, lots, with occasional breaks for food, drink and other necessities. “You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met,” he said with a smile, “so I’ll be gentle with you if you promise to keep your wolf for best,” Newt teased, giving Cora another soft kiss. * “I don’t think you could hurt me.” Cora could probably toss him across the room without breaking a sweat if she really wanted to. Not that she’d have a reason to do it. But Newt was definitely not a threat to her in any fashion. She smiled into the kiss before breaking it. “I can’t promise that.” She kept on smiling except this time she growled playfully before grabbing him and turn them around so that she was now the one hovering over him. “As much fun as this is…I’m getting hungry. When do I get to try that sandwich of yours?” * He wasn’t about to argue either because now there was kissing again and when Cora was kissing him it was hard to make thoughts, let alone words. When she growled and rolled him over Newt was a little surprised by her strength, though he knew now where it came from and, if he was honest, it was pretty hot! “I never want to hurt you,” he told her honestly as he stared into her eyes. And then his stomach rumbled as she mentioned the sandwiches and Newt’s face broke into a broad grin, “I’d say pretty bloody soon,” he told her as he scooted between Cora’s arms and stood up, holding his hand out to her, “you think the kissing was good, you just wait,” he said with a wiggle of his eyebrows. |
