WHAT coffee before school
WHEN this morning

Prue wasn't sure why Wednesday existed. It was just to break the week in half. Still she found herself walking out of the house early to meet for coffee before school. She needed that cool java down her throat before she walked into that school.

She wasn't sure why she didn't just orb. Actually she did, she wanted to walk up a little before she saw Em.

Eventually she found her way to the coffee place that they met at all the time. With a loud groan she pushed open the door. She didn't see Em there yet so she put in the order. Both iced and large, one mocha latte and one double mocha macchiato. Then she moved out of the way to wait for the coffees.

When the other girl finally arrived, of course she did it with a bit of drama.

Strutting into the coffee shop with a mischievous grin, wearing a pleated schoolgirl skirt, knee-high socks and sneakers, and a wonderfully snug white blouse with the top three buttons undone, she clutched her hand to her chest, belting out her words as if she were onstage.

"Oh, Prue, my dear, dear Prue... she who likely thought this one would never have the nerve to monologue her in public... yet here I am, staaaaanding before you, a monologue indeed spilling from these lips of mine, flowing into your ears and filling your mind... yes, your morning coffee companion is here!"

The green and blue haired girl turned when she heard her name. Her head tilted slightly when the monologue started in the crowded place. She felt like she was the only one not looking at Emaline like she was a crazy person. She was just trying to hide her smile. Very shocked that she had the energy for such an entrance.

"Hi," she said in a cheerful tone. Short and simple. "I'm still waiting for the coffee."

	"You're sweet for ordering for me..." Emaline said with a nervous smile, before taking Prue's hand and leading her over to a table near the counter. Usually Prue liked to wait by the counter until the name was called for the coffee. It threw her off when she was pulled over to a table. It wasn't that far away from the counter but it was still not where she usually stood. "What's going on?" she was actually concerned. "Are you okay?"

So this morning was going to be a give Prue a heart attack morning. She wasn't sure how she felt about that. She was just wanting to make sure that Em was okay. Which wasn't actually answered but it didn't seem that bad. If she wasn't she probably would have answered with a no and not like that.

"What do you want to know?" she asked knowing that she would be honest with any questions.

	".....that night we were exchanging pictures. You never did tell me why you wanted the pictures of me so badly." She said, hoping beyond hope that Prue was as ridiculously into her as she was to Prue. Because everything hinged on how the girl looked at her. "I mean.... I know why I wanted yours. Prue blushed slightly at the mention of the pictures. This was a very public place to be talking about something so private. She started to answer but then stopped herself. "Because I like you," she answered in a way that people won't know what she was talking about but she hoped that Em would. "So I wanted the picture of you."

"Yeah, of course I do. You're gorgeous and sweet," she was exactly Prue's type. "But you have a girlfriend. So we're friends. I'm not doing that to Kate."

"We're... not going to do anything to Kate." Emaline said with a ragged breath, clearly nervous about whether this gamble would pay off. "I've never... god I don't even know how to say this...I've never felt an attraction to anyone the way I do to you." She tentatively placed a hand atop one of Prue's.

"And... I'm going to talk to Kate. Tonight. I will always love her as a friend. But I want you."

Prue wasn't sure how she felt about talking about this. Emaline hadn't talked to Kate yet. This felt wrong to her. "But you're still together now," she stood up from the table. "We shouldn't be talking about it like this." It was like Prue was getting in the middle of them by talking about it like this.

"If it helps? I'm doing it regardless of how this conversation turns out. Kate's a great girl, and deserves better than to have someone be with her just because they can't have someone else." Emaline said, eyes betraying how worried she was. "I realized though... it was when you pulled away from me for a bit after the dance. It hit me how bad it hurt to not have that connection with you."
