"You're pulling my leg," John replied with a small smile, glancing left and right to assure himself that a camera crew wasn't about to pop out or that their mutual friends wouldn't yell 'surprise!'. What was that show again...? Still, Monica wasn't the type to lie about such things. She might hold certain beliefs that differed from his own, but she never lied to him. He took a longer look at his surroundings. Nothing looked familiar, but the air was breathable. It felt like Earth. He looked up at the sky, trying to see if he knew any of the constellations. He didn't. He staggered slightly. "I may need to sit down," he decided, "and then you can start from the beginning."
