Angel could see that this new place definitely had a Haunted Mansion vibe. The floors needed a good cleaning and sanding and waxing. The walls could do with a good wallpapering. And the dust everywhere could be cleaned up. However it was structurally sound, no leaks, and the hot and cold water was fresh. There were squeaky floorboards everywhere so it made it hard to go anywhere without a random squeak issuing forth from underneath one's foot as if there were wooden mice somewhere.
There was a large kitchen, a large dining room, large rooms which conceivably could be used for purposes such as a training gym. There was even a library- even larger than the school library in Sunnydale. It was quite spooky and damned big, and while it would have suited him just fine back when he was a vampire, now that he was human he much preferred more light and shadows. However just because he preferred it didn't mean he couldn't live in it. He was very confident however, he was still a powerful man and even here he was a man with some prospects... putting the old band back together in a way. Except it wouldn't be his old Angel Investigations team. It would be a new team with a new name.
He finished dusting the chandelier while texting, then slowly made his way down the ladder and put away the feather duster and apron he was wearing. It would take forever to get this place cleaned up. He needed a team. He needed a base of operations. He needed some other people to help dust, sand, wax the floorboards, put down carpeting, and help get rid of the spooky portraits on the walls that he seemed he couldn't get rid of. Every time he took it off, when he turned his back they were back on the walls again.
And he needed to change that damned doorbell too. It sounded like some sort of prescient raven squeaking that the world was about to end in a way that was terrifying and painful.
