It seemed the mutant community had always felt a need to wall themselves off from the rest of the world, and she supposed it would be a comfort to have somewhere... safe, when ordinary humans could hold so much fear and hate towards them. Somewhere you could be accepted. She hadn't felt very accepted there though, and she wasn't sure if hiding was a good idea, in the long run. "I'm not sure it's necessary," she admitted. "On Earth we are a hated minority. But there are many strange people here who are unfamiliar with our politics. To them it may seem as though we are holding ourselves apart from them." The primary advantage mutants had over humans, it seemed to her, was their adaptability. If they refused to adapt to this situation and instead kept to their old ways, they might as well just be human. Perhaps it was different for those of them whose mutations were very visible, though. Hers was easily hidden, most of the time.
