Swinging away from Bo, Spider-Man chased after some soldiers who had broken away from the pack, who seemed to be heading towards the hospital. "Hey! Don't think you can get away easy here!"
"Sure, copy my style then run away...." Spider-Woman chuckled, swinging after him to help, diving into the small group to distract them, her own safety be damned. "Not for nothin', guy, but I could use some help here!"
"I'mma comin'!" He replied, swinging back to help out Spider-Woman, dodging and weaving as he struck a few blows, his spider-sense saving him more than once. Landing near Spider-Woman, he struck out at an enemy, then took off again, trying to take in everything all at once.
One badoon manged to get in a lucky strike during the free-for-all, swiping at the back of Spider-Man's head. Gwen leapt toward him, not quite getting there fast enough as he hit his head, hard, against the cement. "Awwwww crap!" She yelled, throwing kicks and punches at the badoon, trying to keep them from the injured wall-crawler. "Come on guys, let's handle this maturely, ok? This costume is WHITE. You know how hard it is to get blood out of white?"
"You might have considered a different color!" Lauren called out to Spider-Woman as she rushed over to Spider-Man on the ground. She had no intention of getting into the fight, but she couldn't exactly stay away when someone was injured, either. She fell to her knees beside the superhero and raised his head, immediately feeling blood. Without though of his secret identity, she pulled his mask off so she could better assess his wound.
Oh dear. This wasn't good at all.
"I need my kit!" She called to Spider-Woman, before--
A small generator near the walkway leading to the hospital blew after being hit by an errant badoon weapon, sending scraps of metal debris in all directions. Gwen hadn't even had time to process who was under that mask, before hearing the doctor cry out as a shard of metal pierced her body.
"Ohhhhhh I hate my life!" She grumbled, knocking out the last two badoon near her before scrambling to try and help both Lauren and Peter.
Lauren sunk down to her knees, clutching a piece of metal to her abdomen. She blinked, but tried to get past her own pain. "I'm... I'm fine." No, she wasn't. She was a doctor. She would always think about her patients first. "Help him please. And think of Jean Grey. She'll find us."
Gwen gave a grumble under her mask. Oh, WONDERFUL. Her dead ex was alive here, with superpowers, and dating someone who WASN'T her. Now, to make it worse? He and someone else were hurt.... and who did Gwen have to go to for help? THE NEW GIRLFRIEND. Awesome.
Still, she was a hero. She'd do whatever it took.
"I'll take care of it. I'll get her here, and you'll both be fine." Gwen reached into her belt and took out the little communicator they'd all been given, and quickly sent a message to whoever was working in the hospital, to send help. And then? She concentrated, trying to send a big-ass "SOS" thought out to Jean.
