Well... Anakin had wanted to redeem himself, right? And what better way than using his skills to help those who need him?

During The Clone Wars, Anakin had garnered a reputation as the most talented daredevil pilot in the galaxy, and with his use of The Force, he knew he could be a hell of a boon to any team of pilots going out there.

"I'm an experienced fighter pilot..." Anakin announced, raising his hand. "I'd be happy to help you lead the team into battle."
