"I'm generally more of a Chile relleno and fried ice cream kind of guy, but damn that does sound good."
The company was nice. Derek could appreciate that as the two bantered over menu items. It had been a lonely few days since he'd arrived. He missed the team. He missed his family. The only real contact he'd had for days was with the Guardians of the Galaxy as he tried to get as much information as possible about the situation. Which was frustratingly little. Being stuck here wasn't an easy pill to swallow by any means, but he'd figure things out. And if he had pleasant dinner company along the way, so much the better.
"So," he said later on after they'd placed their orders and the waiter disappeared back in the direction of the kitchen. "Seems like a lot of people are real settled in their lives here."
