Despite the current problems in Knowhere that should have been keeping him plenty busy, Tim had still made sure to spend time with Beth. She was immensely appreciative for it. After the heightened emotions of the previous week, some time with him had been a much needed respite. She was currently sitting at a small table outside the ice cream shop while he bought them each a treat. She sat at the table smiling in at him through the window and gave him a little smile and a wave when he turned back to look at her. As he turned back toward the counter again, Beth began humming to herself. No sooner had she begun, that actual music began to fill the air around her. She tapped her toes along in time to the beat. “I don't know but I think I may be fallin' for you. Dropping so quickly, maybe I should keep this to myself. Waiting 'til I know you better. I am trying not to tell you, but I want to. I'm scared of what you'll say, and so I'm hiding what I'm feeling. But I'm tired of holding this inside my head.” She stood up from her chair and began dancing in between the other tables. “I've been spending all my time just thinking about ya, I don't know what to do. I think I'm fallin' for you. I've been waiting all my life, and now I found ya, I don't know what to do. I think I'm fallin' for you. I'm fallin' for you.” Still smiling, Beth moved to take her place back at the table again. She leaned forward and watched Tim through the window, chin in hand. “As I'm standing here, and you hold my hand. Pull me towards you, and we start to dance. All around us I see nobody. Here in silence, it's just you and me. I am trying not to tell you, but I want to. I'm scared of what you'll say, and so I'm hiding what I'm feeling. But I'm tired of holding this inside my head.” “I've been spending all my time, just thinking about ya. I don't know what to do, I think I'm fallin' for you. I've been waiting all my life, and now I found ya. I don't know what to do, I think I'm fallin' for you. I'm fallin' for you.” She stood again, arms opening as she turned in a little spin. Her blonde hair fluttering out around her shoulders. “Oh, I just can’t take it, my heart is racing. The emotions keep spilling out, I think I’m falling-” The music and Beth’s singing came to a sudden and unexpected halt as she felt a pair of strong arms grab her from behind. A too large hand covered her nose and mouth, and suddenly everything went black. The song included in this narrative is Falling For You by Colbie Caillat. |
