"Like I would ever turn down chicken nuggets," she said cheerfully as she snagged the tiny breaded bite of chicken. It was popped easily into her mouth and she chewed slowly, searching for something to say. The truth was that after Izzy's disappearance, absolutely nothing else had mattered to Tessa. She'd ignored her job, her friends, men... But she understood that Izzy needed to feel normal, and discuss regular things.
