At his words, Avery's eyebrows pulled together a bit. "What we're going to be?" she repeated. "We're already a couple, and I know that we tend to move this relationship in leaps that get spread out a bit, but maybe we just settle here for a bit?" Thought of Halloween had pushed so far out of her mind that it didn't even occur to her that this entire night had begun over a text about costumes. All that really filled her head at that particular moment was how nice it felt to be in his arms. She'd managed to pull some of the shadows away from the window so there was enough light for him to see, and she liked the way that light played off of his eyes.
