Who: Rocket & Sofia Martin When: Wednesday Afternoon Where: Rocket's Workshop What: Working Rating: Low Status: Closed/Progressing
Being useful felt really good. Being able to actually use her abilities without worrying about how to lie about what she was doing or how she knew things? Phenomenal. Oh, she'd had a chance to work like this while she was at Xavier's, but that had been a while ago.
Now, as she stood in the workshop, browsing through various abandoned projects and materials that hadn't been used yet, she found herself lost in the high of absorbing information. With an earbud in each ear, hearing two lectures on completely different subjects in an effort to catch up on what she needed to know about this place, she couldn't hear if anyone walked up. Sure, it was a risk, but she hadn't gotten anything sketchy off the door when she'd arrived, and that gave her the confidence to be a little risky.
As she moved a step down the row of shelves, she pushed a box with her foot. A length of coiled wire struck her as being very useful and necessary, so she dropped it into the box, along with the seemingly random assortment of materials. She had no idea what she was building yet. All she knew was that the parts said they belonged together, and she felt it would be cruel to ignore that fact. Once everything was together in the box, she was sure the project would come together, the parts would tell her how to assemble them as they wanted to be assembled.
