Her hands never stopped moving as sh smiled up at the girl. "Technically, they don't have any kind of awareness. Part of my mutation, though, allows me to see into the past and future of an object. The best way I can describe it is that it's like a conversation. I can ask the object for certain information, and the object provides it. There are other things at play, of course, but personalities are more like a manifestation of the various occurrences in an objects existence."
She glanced down at the carefully dissected parts and began to combine them in different ways, her fingers flitting over all the parts occasionally as she took little readings to see what the device needed.
