"Holy crap," she said quietly, not wanting the kids to overhear her use of language. "That pie is not going to survive the night. Thank you." She laughed, reached up for another quick kiss, then took his hand and led him to the table where everyone still sat around talking. "Everyone, meet Noah. He brought pie." She put the pie on the table and sat back down. There was an empty chair beside hers so they could sit together. Once he was seated, too, she pointed around the circle, introducing each person in turn.
