Had Jean's thoughts been out loud, Aves probably would have given her a funny look, unable to see what was so adorable about it. At least she'd checked to make sure they were alone before jumping into the conversation.
She nodded to Jean's answer, and almost asked another question, but got sidetracked with thoughts of Noah. "He's amazing," she said. "He got his aunt to hire me at the Crashdown, and another of his aunts is helping me cover my arms so I can wear the uniform more comfortably." Noah and one of his aunts had both mentioned the possibility of healing her scars completely, but she didn't quite feel right about losing something that had been a part of her for so long, even if it was a reminder of the difficult times. Maybe something deeper was connected to them, but Aves hadn't taken the time to think about it.
"You're doing well?" Aves asked. "What have you been up to?"
