Aves gladly kissed him back, still a little in shock that this was real. She'd been so careful not to let her mind jump ahead that finding out she hadn't just made it all up was both exhilarating and a relief. It wasn't until a few minutes later when there was a knock on the door that she even realized the cat had dissipated. She sat back and constructed a butler figurine to answer the door, unwilling to let go of his hand. She had it open the door for his aunt, then sent it to the kitchen for some drinks. It was one thing for one guest to turn down a drink, but at two, she was going to at least bring out some drinks. Her mother would be proud.
