He nodded and watched her carefully. He breathed a short sigh of relief when she had no visible reaction to the silver or the water. He took it back and the flask disappeared into his pocket again. "I appreciate it. You can go ahead and shade your eyes again. I'm good now, I promise."
It was uncanny how much she looked like a demon with those black eyes, but Sam ordered himself to see past it. "I owe you an apology. I'm sorry for barging in here like I did. I'm a hunter in my world. It's my job to track down demons and other monsters. So when I saw you, I reacted on instinct." He noticed a small bruise forming near her temple and his expression turned to one of guilt.
