"Yeah," she agreed. "It sounds like a miserable way to live." Having expected him to take the phone from her, his nearness surprised Aves just a little bit, but she wasn't complaining. The man was gorgeous, and kind, and he smelled nice. "Thanks," she said, smiling at the picture. It was one of the few she had. She was always worried about her phone being stolen by someone who might go after the people she loved.
"So yes!" she said when he mentioned chocolate. She quickly put her phone away and followed him into the kitchen. She pulled out the bag she'd brought with her and unpacked everything onto the counter. "We're going to need a pot for melting, and a pan for the bacon," she said, holding up a bag of chocolate and the package of bacon. It was one of her weaknesses. Any chance she had to eat chocolate or bacon was a good day, but eating them together was a great day. ... Eating them together with Noah... maybe off the charts.
