Well, great. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I wake up today to find my mom gone. I called her job, I called Rian. I called the Welcome Center to find out she is no longer here on their list. This just sucks.

Sophie, have you seen her? We should call my sister, Rian.

	That doesn't make it suck any less. I'm sorry you lost your mom. Mine was killed the same day that I was abducted a few years back. I also lost my best friend here in purge number one. I've been sort of keeping to myself mostly since then. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

They attached a large slug-type thing to my spine that put me under their control. It was a few months before I was rescued and had it detached. I still have most of the stems poking out of my back, but I keep them because it enhanced me physically.

Had it stayed on me for a longer period of time, I would have eventually turned into a large, scorpion type creature.

	Getting it off was the worst. I do actually remember while I was under their control. I hated the feeling. Oh thank goodness... Really? You don’t sound like a nerd to me. But maybe that’s because my own dad was a nerd so to me you’re normal. He would have loved your story, by the way. Although he would not love the part about your pain and being taken away. He was not mean.
