PERFORMANCE - ALEX MANES GUERIN
It had been a long forgotten dream to pursue music. Now one week, two weeks, and beyond. It wasn't how Alex thought it would go. He thought there would be a rush of a first performance and then he would say his goodbye to Idol. He would be able to say that he put himself, his music out there.
After his last duet he had a bit of trouble picking his next song. It wasn't like his earlier song choices, just like with his duet. He wasn't following the earlier theme of inner demons and darkness.
There was no microphone stand in the center of the stage for this performance. Instead he came out with the mic in his hand in a hooded faux leather jacket with a plain white t-shirt under it and dark wash jeans. The music started as he held the mic up to his face.
She'll only come out at nights The lean and hungry type Nothing is new, I've seen her here before Watching and waiting Ooh, she's sitting with you but her eyes are on the door
He started to move to the music. Thinking about how ridiculous he must look but that was only in his head. He had been practicing all week. Despite the voice in his head there was nothing hesitate about the way he moved with the beat.
So many have paid to see What you think you're getting for free The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar Money's the matter If you're in it for love You ain't gonna get too far
The small dance moves he had added to the performance had been choreographed to work with his suppoting leg. It wasn't anything fancy. Enough to liven up the lyrics he was singing with a bit of movement.
He still felt like he could feel his heartbeat as he sang. He would say that it was almost as loud as his voice.
(Oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up (Oh, here she comes) She's a maneater (Oh, here she comes) Watch out boy she'll chew you up (Oh, here she comes) She's a maneater
He started to walk toward the edge of the stage. It was clear that the women in the front of the audience were fans. It reminded him of the remark that Kyle had made two weeks ago. A huge smile came on his face as he sang thinking about what Michael thought of his song choice.
Mind over matter Ooh, the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart
Playfully teasing for a second of lifting the edge of his white t-shirt. Stopping short of showing any skin. He wasn't that bold but it made the audience go wild. It could almost be felt how good of a time he was having. The thought of what Liz would say echoed in his mind as he continued on.
Ooh Oh-oh here she comes (Watch out) She'll only come out at night, ooh (Oh, here she comes) She's a maneater C'Mon!
He walked away from the edge without turning his back to the audience. Extending one arm out as if reaching out to them as he took his final step to be center stage again.
Oh, here she comes (Watch out) Ooh, she'll chew you up (Oh, here she comes) She's a maneater C'mon!
