Where: coffee shop
What: running into each other
Warnings: TBD
Sam had gone to get a coffee, and he was standing in the line, when he saw Santana Lopez. He wasn't sure why she was so nonplussed to see him here. It's not as if they had had a fight or anything. He got his coffee and went to her table. "Hi, Santana. Can we talk?" He asked, some of his blonde hair falling over his forehead. He didn't bother to brush it away, and took a sip of his coffee. She looked surprised to see him, and he also could tell that she was annoyed that she had to talk to him. Sam sat down across from her without her saying that he could, and he said, "You know that we need to talk, you have been avoiding me since I've been here, and I have no idea why."
When faced with Sam, Santana didn't know what she was going to say to him. She knew that this Sam hadn't dated Brittany, so he didn't get why she was wanting to avoid him. Santana didn't know how to tell him that she kind of hated him now. She and Sam weren't exactly bosom buddies and never really had been. Yeah, she'd used him as a beard, but that had been all she'd really wanted from him. Santana brushed her hand over her long black hair, wondering how to explain things to him. She wasn't going to get out of it, she could tell.
"It doesn't matter why, I mean....... you didn't do the thing that I'm avoiding you for. You're different. I knows that, it's just hard for me to forget." Santana said, and when Sam just kept staring at her, she rolled her eyes and said, "You dated Brittany, and she chose you over me."
Sam's green eyes widened a bit. "Um, what?" He asked. He hadn't ever wanted to date Brittany. The only girl he'd ever really loved had been Quinn, and now Quinn was with that Weasley girl. Not that Sam begrudged her that. He didn't. If she wanted to be with Rose that was okay with him. Not to mention he had feelings for Blaine now, which he feared would never be requited now. Not to mention that Blaine had been with Kurt before he got here.
"I never wanted to be with Brittany."
"I know that, Trouty, I said, I know it wasn't you. It's just.... it happened for me and I can't forget it."
