Thomas frowned. "To be honest I was not sure I would see you alive again, Kelly." He said, concerned. "I do not think anyone expected the heat to happen this fast, like that." He went on, genuinely worried.
He looked at her, and all feelings sort of came back. He had thought he was over her already. But then again maybe he was over her, this could just be normal feelings for someone he thought was a best friend.
He nodded. "Yes, I am a little older." He agreed, softly. "I never did find you back home, Kelly. I'm sorry. I felt so stupid and then I found myself here and I have no idea if anyone found you." He was afraid, that much was evident. "I searched for years and years, and I let my own powers fade, I never practiced because I was so worried about you. And I never found you." He was rambling but he had to let her know. He knew this could affect something, or he thought it could. But she had to know he had screwed up and never found her.
