Who: Dash and Ellis
What: He's not doing well
Where: After his MS performance
When: The first week
Warning: NA
After the dance and rap heavy performance, Dash wasn't feeling too hot. Walking backstage, he headed towards the green rooms and by the time he got to one, he felt like he was dying.
Taking his mask off, he doubled over and began coughing while unable to catch his breath, things that were hard to do at the same time. He was gasping for breath by the time he stopped, the mask dropping to the ground as he moved to sit down and cool off. He knew he had overheated and hoped things would calm down after he cooled off. Maybe he underestimated his ability to do this.
--
"Hey..." Ellis Shepherd had been the doctor on-call at the Masked Singer tapings for the evening, and really? She expected to have to do nothing but maybe stand there. But when she saw poor Dash drop his mask, her instincts took over and she jumped to her feet, running over to him. "You ok, honey?"
--
"Yeah yeah I'll be fine" He insisted, waving his hand at her as he coughed me. With his face flushed and his breathing uneven, it was clear he was lying and that something definitely wrong. "I just gotta cool down, Doc. That's all" He told her, as he reached for a bottle of water that was on the table.
--
"Um, yeah. Sweetie? I call bullshit. You look like crap." She sighed, hand already reaching for her communicator, to call 911 if needed. "Deep breaths, hon. Do you need me to call Jo?"
--
He took a few moments to take open his water and take a few sips of it. Sitting back, he did what she recommended and took a few deep breaths. After a few moments, when he couldn't seem to get calmed down, he nodded his head as he looked over at her. "Call her"
--
Ellis nodded, quickly tapping 911 into her comm, and ordering an ambulance. She then sent a quick text to Jo, telling her to get to the hospital ASAP.
--
"Hang tight, honey. Ambulance is on it's way." She said, worry written all over her face. She knew this could be bad news, and that Jo was going to FREAK.
--
"Damn it. All I wanted to do was have some fun" He grumbled, breathing heavy between each word, angry that this had happened and that his CF had gotten in the way. If he was normal like anyone else, this wouldn't have happened.
--
"Shh... I know, I know..." She replied, softly as she gently patted his back in comfort. "Just try not to get upset, you'll only make it worse. They'll be here in minutes."
