Who: Dagny and Michael
What: She dead
Where: The Hotel Cortez
When: Today
Warning: So muth death
Dagny didn't work Sundays and had gone out for the day before coming home right around lunch time with take out. When she walked in, Sally was waiting for her and the two began going at it. The ghost was jealous of Dagny, wanting Michael for herself, and his wife knew that.
The two of them began to fight and just when it looks like Dagny was winning, Sally surprised her with a knife to the gut and she fell to the floor. That was the first of many stabs that Dagny would endure and the last one would leave the Valkyrie dead, bleeding on the floor of the room she shared with her husband.

When Michael arrived back at the Cortez, he was immediately on alert at the lack of noise. With so many spirits residing there, along with the few living occupants, there was almost ALWAYS some kind of activity going on. For there to be silence? That told him fear was in the air. He could feel the hair on the back of his neck stand up, and he quickly picked up his pace to run to the part of the hotel he shared with Dagny.
Sally had been flirting with Michael since the day he arrived at The Cortez, but it had never gone beyond playful banter. She'd never given an indication that anything dangerous or deadly could come of his constant rejection of her. But since he and Dagny had become man and wife... something had changed. A darker, more obsessive vibe came from the spirit as she constantly hovered around Michael, to the point that he and Dagny had been trying to spend less and less time at The Cortez just to avoid her.
Even with that... the sight that awaited the young Son of Satan as he walked in stunned him, momentarily to the point of speechlessness. He dove to the floor, crying her name out in a hushed yet panicked tone, cradling her head in his hands, frantically looking for the wound, hoping to heal it with his powers.
-
The spirit of Dagny had arisen from her body seconds after she'd taken her final breathe fully aware of what happened. Sally had left by then and the now-dead Valkyrie didn't have the energy to seek her out so she could bitch at her for killing her.
Instead, she took a seat on a chair by the fireplace and waited for Michael to come home. She couldn't willingly leave this place so she could reincarnate without saying goodbye to him. The wait seemed like hours and seconds all at the same time. Was that what really being dead was like? If so? She didn't like it and she was glad she was able to come back to life.
Silently she watched as he ran in and cried over her body, her heartbreaking for him. "There's no use trying to help me, my love. I'm already gone" She told him as she rose from the chair.
-
When he heard her voice, and her words sunk in... he felt it. The darkness, that he worked so hard, 24/7, to reign in... that he strained night and day to keep from taking him over, was bubbling over. Holding it back was not an option this time. He knew, deep down, that he'd be losing her soon regardless: it was the consequence of being with a valkyrie. But he'd been so angry, so furious over not being able to do anything about it, that this? This gave him both something to rage at, and someone to take his rage OUT on.
Without even a single word to Dagny's spirit, he quietly rose, a stony, dark glare in his eyes.
-
Anyone else would be scared at how he was acting but not Dagny. Dagny remained calm and collected as she made her way over to him. She knew her husband well and she knew what that look in his eyes meant. He was looking for someone to take his anger out on and she knew just the person. "I know what you're feeling right now and I want you to put all of the dark energy to good use by killing the bitch that did this to me" She requested, her demeanor never changing.
-
Was it possibly not a good idea for these two to be involved? That maybe they were not a healthy influence on each other? Most likely. But just try to keep them apart now. He didn't even answer her, only a slight, almost imperceptible nod proof that he'd even heard her. He walked slowly, with dark determination, toward the main lobby, where he knew Sally would be. As the ghost saw him coming, her expression changed from smug victory to utter fear. She could see it in his eyes... this wasn't going to end the way she'd planned.
He raised his hands slightly in the air, staring daggers at her. Before she could even process what was happening, or have a chance to plead with him to stop, he unleashed a primal scream, the murderous ghost bursting into hellfire, a pained, terrified cry coming from her before going silent, as literally any trace of her was exterminated from existence.
-
That little nod was all she needed to continue on and tell him who it was with one word. "Sally" She followed after him as he left the room and skipped the elevator, opting to use her ghostly powers to poof down into the lobby. She stayed out of sight, standing there she could see Sally but Sally couldn't see her. When she saw Michael appear again, she moved to walked over near him so she could get a better view of the action.
She barely flinched when she heard his dream and the ghost's cry as she died a true death that even a ghost couldn't come back to. "Let this be a lesson to all of you" She spoke as she turned to the other ghosts that were around. "Mess with me when I'm alive and that will happen to you too. Stay on his good side if you know what's good for you"(edited)
-
Finally, he closed his eyes, head hanging in sadness as he took a moment to process what had just happened. "I will be waiting for you, Dagny. I will wait for you, guide you, and care for you until I'm able to be yours again."
-
When she saw how he reacted to what he did, she moved over to him and wrapped his arms around him in an embrace. Maybe she shouldn't have encouraged him to embrace his darkness but she wanted to be avenged and who better than him to do it? He was the only one in the entire world that could kill something that was already dead. She nodded to what he said, trying to best not to try. Pulling away, she was teary-eyed as she reached up to hold his cheeks in his hand. "I love you and I'll be back soon" She promised as she leaned in to give him a gentle goodbye kiss.
-
"You better." He said with a somber, quiet tone that showed he was barely keeping his shit together. "In the meantime... I'd better go see Mallory. I think our lessons need to continue, twofold."
-
"I will, I promise," She told him softly as he pulled back. She nodded her head and reached up to ran her fingers through his hair. "Good luck baby. Secure spot for me at the school while you're there. I want to be taught by the best" She said to him, frowning afterward.
Reaching out, she gave him one more hug so she could be in his arms just one more time."It's time for me to go" She whispered, holding onto him like she was afraid to let go. After a moment or so, she did and pulled back, her spirit fading right in front of him.
