At first Nathan was mad at his friend, George, for signing him up for this blind date thing again. The last one didn't really go anywhere, though he did enjoy the date. But, after a while of thinking about it and planning what they were going to do, he lightened up and realized he did need to get out from behind his books for a little fun. A movie in the summer night air might just be what the doctor ordered.
He was there early and staked out a good spot on with a clear view of the screen. He laid down a blanket big enough for the two of them to have some comfortable space between them. When he saw a girl approach Nathan stood up and gave her a shy smile. "Hey. Hi. Uh,yeah, I'm Nathan. Elle?"
It's a good thing his friend wasn't witnessing this, he could hear George making fun of him for his awkwardness. He couldn't help finding it cute when a girl tucks her hair behind her ear like that and gives him a compliment.
"Thanks, umm, you look pretty too." Lame, Evans-Fargo, Lame. "Would you like to sit? OR I could go get us something to drink OR you could run away now. It's up to you." He laughed weakly as he rubbed the back of his neck anxiously.
