Chase had experience a lot in his short life and that was even before being transported to Galador. He blinked, took a few seconds to digest what Erin had just told him, then offered her the crook of his arm to take as they walked along. "I don't even doubt you for a second." He'd been called dense and gullible in the past and while he still felt that he had a few shortcomings he liked to think that he was a better judge of character these days. He'd grown up through his years on Galador. He was more introspective. Less prone to immediate action.
"We don't have to talk about that now" he assured her. "Or ever, if you don't want to." There were some things in his past that he doubted that he could ever bring himself to talk about, so if she didn't walk to talk about something then he wouldn't pressure her and he hoped that she'd do the same. Still: "If you do want to talk about anything, I'll listen with open ears. I'm a good listener." He winked. He felt more like himself with that one action than he had in a long time. He made a mental note to thank the lady who'd set them up.
