Erin had slowly been finding her way in this new world. After floating with no purpose because there was no apocalypse to stop and she couldn't heal without hurting herself, she became a foster mom and suddenly she felt more fulfilled. She had a purpose again and that was being a mom. She knew it all along deep down but with Amy being so much older here and not really needing her, she didn't really feel like one. Taking in foster children made her feel like herself again.
The next step, she decided, was putting herself out there to meet people. A good way to do that would to be signing up for a blind date. She still very much had a thing for Raul and would be over the moon if he showed up but she didn't want to be that girl that waited around for a guy to show up. She took control of her life months before getting here and lived it only for herself, her daughter, and now her foster kids. God was the only person who could rule her life now and that was only because being an angel meant she more or less worked for him. He was the only exception.
The last time Erin had been on a date had been in high school with the guy that turned out to be Amy's father so she was nervous to say the least. She wasn't nervous about the guy she was meeting, because he seemed nice ( and really anyone would be better than Ronnie ), but the dating process itself. She was so rusty. Getting ready with Amy helped her relax, though, and by the time she was talking towards the park with Jacob she felt more at ease. Wearing a yellow dress and flats, she stopped short of the entrance and looked around for her date.
"I think that's him" She commented Jacob, pointing in the direction of Chase. "Have fun tonight. And remember, I'm just a text away if you need anything" She said in a very motherly away before she walked away from him and headed over to Chase. "One of my foster kids" She told him with a smile as she nodded over to the boy that she looked so small next to. She was of average height some around him, she felt pretty short. "I should have worn heels" She joked when she saw how tall Chase was. It was going to be another night of feeling short but that was okay. She was used to it.
