Jack had been walking around as well, still just trying to get the lay of the land. He'd been living in Freedomtown for weeks and, much like Eureka, figured that there'd always be something to surprise him about the place; that there was no limit to the things that he could discover. He started to imagine an assortment of things and was eventually broken out of his reverie whe he bodily walked into someone and staggered back. He would have fallen arse over tit if she hadn't reached out and grabbed hold of him.
He goofily regained his balance and gave her a sheepish smile. "Hey there roomie. Nice save. Sorry," he waved a hand airily near his forehead, "I was miles away."
