"Thank you... for all of this." Where she came from she would have been suspicious of his helpfulness, but she sensed no malice in him and at the best of times considered herself a good judge of character. Even when Delphine had gone against her wishes, she knew that it was with the best intentions (even as blinded by love as she was).
When he pressed his hand to her forehead she almost shied away, but even as he explained it she could feel an abrupt shift in her very body chemistry. Suddenly she could breathe again and amusingly enough it almost left her breathless. "What... what did you do?" Her scientific mind thought that it must have been a placebo, but naturally for that to work she'd have to believe in it. The pain was there and then it was... gone. Just like that.
She hooked her fingers in her nostril tubes and pulled them down, breathing in air for the first time, unaided, in what felt like forever. "...Is this real?" Her mind swam with thoughts that she was dead, and this was some kind of Heaven. But for that to work Delphine would be here with her. She'd have to get into contact with the people that Castiel had mentioned. Maybe she was here. Just not with her. "Castiel... are you an Angel?" Was she right? Had she died and gone to Heaven? And more importantly... did she really believe in Heaven? Or was it the only way she could process what had just happened?
