Cosima jerked her head to one side at the sudden sound of a male voice behind her. She'd be a fool to think that she was alone here but he startled her just the same. She awkwardly swiveled around on her butt on the grass to face him then, using her oxygen tank for support, she wobbled as she got to her feet. She put her free hand out in a 'stop' gesture, her silent way of saying that she didn't need any help (it was perhaps a bit presumptuous to think that he'd offer to help her, but that's what people did when they saw her struggling with such simple tasks - and she wouldn't accept help while she knew that she could still do things for herself).
As she did all of that, she listened to what the man had to say. He seemed knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to want to help her. So, that was something, considering. She gave him a wavering smile. "I guess you could call me a new arrival... I think that I'd remember being here before." She cocked her head to one side and gave him a quick finger-wave. "I'm Cosima." Oh, her mind was buzzing with questions, but every so often she remembered to be polite and introduce herself.
