Welcome to Your New Home
Who: Cersei and Jaime
Where: Westeros
When: Just after her arrival here
What: A reunion
Rating: Eh?
Status: Complete

Not all too long after arriving on Galador and being greeted by a not-at-all-helpful Rachelle, Cersei made her way over to the Welcome Center to get the lay of the land. Turns out Rachalle wasn't bullshitting her after all. Still. That woman was annoying and rude and Cersei was glad to be rid of her. After learning what she needed to know (Cersei was surprisingly nonchalant about the fact that she was on an alien planet with advanced technology, go figure), she made her way over to where Jaime was. "Well... this is awfully pedestrian, isn't it," she muttered to him.

Jaime had been pretty much miserable since arriving on Galador. While grateful to be alive, he was in Winterfell of all places, and while he wasn't a prisoner per se, the fact that he was more or less supervised at all times by Tyrion was essentially the same. So as he sat there, staring up at the sky, contemplating the idea that a few people had put in his head that somehow, on this world, he could actually have a real hand again... and he heard that voice... excuse him for thinking he was delusional.

He turned nonetheless though, and felt his eyes widen. It was really her. The woman who'd been everything to him: sister, best friend, lover... she was really HERE.

He rose quickly, looking at her as though afraid it might be the last time he ever saw her.

"Cersei... you... when did you get here?"

"Does it matter?" Cersei looked him over, quirking an eyebrow. He looked like shit. She still had the grace and bearing of a monarch, as if the world hadn't crumbled around her a mere few hours ago. She was putting up a front. One that she knew that he'd see through, but since they were in public she'd still hold herself as she always had.

"My question is: why are you here? Of all the places in the world that you could go, why here?" Her lip curled in disgust. She hated Winterfell.

"The Starks are here, Cersei." He said, hoping that would start clicking all the pieces together. "ALL of them. Including the ones we directly and indirectly had murdered. As is the Dragon Queen. And only myself and Tyrion from our house. All things considered, I believe the help I provided against the Wights is the only reason I wasn't beheaded on sight. They're... keeping an eye on me."

Cersei clenched her jaw and exhaled loudly, exasperated. "Shouldn't they be more concerned with the woman who razed King's Landing, rather than a weak one-handed swordsman?"

"Your way with words is wonderful as always." He replied, grumbling under his breath. "Apparently, she is here from almost the minute you had her pretty friend beheaded. Meaning she's yet to completely snap."

"And you believe that?" Cersei rolled her eyes and exhaled again. She was happy to see him, happy that they were both alive... and the baby. She pressed her hands to her stomach unconsciously. "Do you intend to stay?" Her voice hitched slightly, betraying how she really felt.

"As far as the Targaryen girl goes... at this point, with what I've seen already here... I'll believe anything." Jaime said with a lopsided smirk. "And as for staying? You'll find that King's Landing, while actually not a flaming pile of rubble here, is no more welcoming than Winterfell. The Stark boy is King now. You may remember him as the one I shoved out of a window." He said, sighing as he walked toward her, comfortingly wrapping his arms lightly around her.

Cersei let Jaime hold her, although she had a faraway look. She rested her cheek against his chest. "Then we strike out on our own," she decided, tone determined, "We can find new land and start over."

"I would love that." He replied, tenderly stroking her hair. He felt, deep in his core, that this could truly be a new beginning. That he could take the newfound humility and honor that he'd found through his ordeals and trials, and be better people. People that could enjoy their lives and not have to worry constantly about betrayal and death. "It will be... a definite uphill battle. But as long as we fight it together, it's a battle I will happily enter."
