It's funny, all my life I've hated my gifts. In my own town I lived as an outcast, everyone thought I was strange and maybe I am. I even tried to get rid of my gifts. Then I was given a present and they were gone, or I looked at it like a present.
The quiet was so wonderful I didn't have to work hard at keeping the voices of others out-of-my head. For the first day I was so happy. But as the week went on I began to miss it. I didn't feel like me. Then I prayed for it to come back. We were all just human.
The longer I went without them, the more I missed them. I finally got what I'd always wanted. Then came the relaziation that I didn't want to be 'normal', I wanted to be just Sookie. As we all know it just took time, everyone went back to their original selves. Now I know what it means to be Sookie Stackhouse.
Like they say, be careful what you wish for.
