A Night Out Who: Charlotte Where: Death & Taxes When: Monday Evening What: Charlotte coaxing Amber out of the apartment and meeting new people Rating: TBD Status: Open to Anyone with a reason to be there and Amber; Ongoing
With a desire to get Amber out of the apartment Charlotte had texted her a salacious photo with the caption 'I'll be in the basement of Death & Taxes when you want to find me'. Sure, it was a crude attempt to get Amber out of the apartment but sometimes one had to show a little tough love, y'know? Dressed in a slinky black dress that she was practically spilling out of, she took a seat at the bar and ordered a dry martini. Sure, she could've just as easily asked Amber to join her at Fangtasia or Northern Soul, but Penny had assured her that Amber was less likely to have a panic attack from being overstimulated in a place like Death & Taxes, rather than the other two. Baby steps, right?
She accepted her drink with a wink before looking around the bar at the patrons. As far as bars and clubs went, this place was tamer than she expected. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, though. Different strokes for different folks and all that. It also gave her the time to appreciate where she was, who she was with and the second (or third) chance at life that she'd been given. Being on Galador gave her a chance to start again. She'd been a lawyer once. For a bunch of evil people, yes; but that education was still there. Maybe she should contact that Murdock fellow. See about turning a new leaf. She certainly needed a job, although the thought of Amber being the breadwinner of the two did hold a certain appeal. She quietly sipped her drink. These thoughts were best to have later. Right now she was happy to people watch and perhaps strike up a conversation until Amber joined her.
