I'm glad that Mother's day and Father's day are over. It was hard to deal with them without my parents being here. I haven't seen them since becoming a vampire and I don't think I ever will again.

Some extremely rare, otherwise unheard of disease that I somehow contracted from a primate while I was living in the Congo. There was an interesting side effect with the cure, too.

Not that it makes it any better, but I can sympathize. I lost my parents (and most of my family, honestly) during The Wraith War. When I hear about holidays like that... it makes my heart hurt.
