Lux was in the kitchen making a late night snack when she and Axel began talking about marriage. She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face as she checked on her chicken fingers that were in the oven. Yes, she was actually attempting to cook something! She was keeping a close eye on them so they wouldn't burn because she really wanted something crispy and not nuked in the microwave. She had to get better at some point, right? "It's about time you put a ring on it" She spoke as she shut the oven door and turned towards him. She had heard him coming up behind her. "We've only been together for like three years" She teased as she walked over and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning in to give him a kiss.

Axel had been thinking about asking Lux to marry him since he arrived there. It wasn't because they were living together and were grown up. It was because he couldn't imagine his life without her. She just wasn't someone that he loved, she was his other half. His soulmate that he never would have found if it wasn't for being pulled there. "Has it only been three years?" he laughed as he kissed her back. "You know I love you more than anything right?"

"Five if you count the two we were just friends" She pointed out with a smile, her fingers beginning to play with his hair without her even thinking about it. She'd never been a fan of long hair until she met him and from the first moment she had first touched it, she couldn't keep her fingers out of it when they were close. "I do and I love you even more than that" She replied as she moved to lean back against the counter behind her, her hands lowering to pull her with him so he stood in front of her. "And I can't wait to marry you"

"I don't think we were ever just friends," Axel smiled softly. He felt like their entire relationship had been leading to this. Even as friends it was only the start of finding that love and warmth she made him feel. "We just hadn't caught up with this yet." It was his way of saying that he thought they were always meant to get to this point. Then she said the words. That she couldn't wait to marry him. He moved to get down on one knee. This couldn't be something that happened on the network. He pulled a box out of his pocket, opening it to show a ring. It had showed up in Galador. Something that he never thought he would see again. "Will you marry me?" he asked trying not to sound nervous.

"Maybe for a second when we first met as teenagers" She said with a smile, realizing what he said was right.

They had had a connection from the very beginning, It just took them a while, including a time jump for her and months of being roommates, to get to the point where they took the jump from friends to lovers. She was pretty content with their journey and how they'd gotten to where they were now. It seemed right.

Forgetting all about her chicken fingers, she was all smiles when he got down on one knee. It was so much better when she knew it was coming. "A thousand times yes" She said without hesitation as she got down on her knees so she could kiss him.

	Since the two of them had talked about the question before on the network he knew what her. It wasn't the same as hearing her say it. Those words and the way she said it made it better. He kissed her back. "I know it's not a diamond but it was my mom's," he started to ramble about the ring. He was so excited that she said yes. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"This is so much better" She told him with a smile as she held her hand out so he could put it on. Once he did, she leaned in and kissed him again then she stood them up as they kissed. Pushing him back against the counter, she kept on kissing him for a few minutes until the over timer went off. "Oh shit! My chicken fingers" She quickly pulled away from him and moved to get them out before they burned.

"I'm glad you think so," Axel smiled at her the look of her face when she held out her hand for the ring. He slipped it on her finger. Glad that he had guessed the right size when he to the jewelry shop to get it resized for her. He was so happy that she was happy. He kissed her back as he stood up from the ground. He could smell the chicken fingers but was too distracted to to say anything. Until the timer went off. He laughed, "Guess it's time for dinner."
