Who: Aziraphale (open, multiple threads welcome)
Where: Aziraphale's bookshop
When: Now
What: Opening the shop
Rating: Low

It hadn't been hard to find an empty storefront that fit his aesthetic sensibilities, and use his particular abilities to make sure he got it, and then another, larger miracle to fill it with books he adored from Earth, but he kept some shelves free to house the books he hoped to discover after some searching on this world. New books! He couldn't be happier at the thought.

Today, he flipped the sign to open for the first time and settled in for the afternoon, making a cup of tea and sitting in a comfortable chair with a book. If someone came in, ah well, if not, he had all the time in the world to enjoy himself.

Ben couldn’t have been happier when he saw the sign for the bookstore. He’d always enjoyed reading and there was nothing quite like the texture and scent of a hard copy, even though most people in his galaxy generally preferred digital copies. Besides, those were useless for taking notes. He hiked his backpack higher up on his shoulder and pulled the door open.

Aziraphale looked up as the door opened and set down his cup. "Hello, young man. How can I help you?" he asked, standing slowly and going over towards him.

Ben looked up at the man, blinking slightly. “I... don’t suppose you have anything about calligraphy? Or healing? Not medicine. Healing for people with powers?”

"Hmm. I'm certain I have something about calligraphy, if you give me a moment I'll sort it out. Healing with powers, well, I haven't found anything reputable, but I can certainly keep an eye out. I intend to search for new stock from other worlds." He smiled warmly and went to a shelf, examining the titles carefully. For only having just created this shop, it was remarkably unorganized.

“Yeah, sure.” Ben nodded agreeably, looking around the chaotic , little shop. It seemed... lovely. It wasn’t nearly as ordered as his uncle’s collection at the training temple but something about it felt slightly similar.

“If you find anything from a world that has the Force, that’s the sort of thing I’m looking for,” he explained. “I know people used to be able to do it but I don’t know anyone who knows how it works.”

"Well, I'll certainly keep that in mind, and if I find it I'll contact you. Let me write down your name," he said, rummaging for a pen and paper. He scrawled Force on it then glanced at the boy. "What was your name? I don't believe I remembered to ask."

Merlin loved books, he loved learning. Knowledge is power after all. Besides, he needed to keep up on all the knew magic out there if he wanted to stay the most powerful sorcerer to ever live.

Okay, so he didn't really care about that, he doubted that he was anymore with all these new witches and warlocks showing up every second.

Anyway, he craved knowledge and a new bookstore was the best place to find it. With a clink of doorbell, he entered and started to browse a shelf of books.

"Ah, hello," Aziraphale said, glancing over. "How can I help you?" He wandered over towards the newcomer.

Merlin could feel the power radiating from the man that came over to him. He wasn't sure what he was, but he wasn't human.

"Hi," he greeted the man. "I like your collection of books. Do you have any local editions or none Earth volumes?"

He gave a rueful smile. "No, not yet. But I fully intend to rectify that, once I get a chance to explore the local literature. Are you looking for anything in particular?"

Ever since she had arrived Jocelyn chose to keep to herself, as well as, keeping a watchful eye on her daughter. But it was pretty clear to her that Clary didn't necessarily need her mother to protect her anymore. Her daughter had grown up and was more than capable of protecting herself. So, she observed from a distance and let Clary live her own life.

For a time Jocelyn tried to see this as a new start. She had been saved from death but the fear that she could possibly be sent back to die kept her from pursuing it. But with her having passed the one year mark she decided that it was time to start living. And if she was truly going to see this as a new start she needed to make her apartment look lived in. Starting with beginning to fill the bookshelf wall that was painfully bare. Which is how Jocelyn found herself wandering into a bookshop that reminded her of her store from back home.

Aziraphale was reshelving a few books a customer had decided not to purchase, and turned around when he heard someone new. "Hello," he said with a smile. "How can I help you today?"
