Quentin wasn't sure what to say to Eliot. He had been in the Underworld. He had said goodbye to Penny and was going to step through the doorway to the afterlife. Unsure of what was in store for him. He thought about being able to see his Dad again and in many, many years his friends when it was their time. He hadn't expected to walk through the door and so up on an alien planet. It was different but he figured it just meant that he was meant to do a little bit more. After he figured out that this wasn't the afterlife. He had been staying with Julia and had actually talked with Merlin. Like King Arthur's Merlin and held back from seeming like a crazy fan meeting a celebrity. It didn't make being here any easier. He was so tired of things working out like this. It was bullshit. All of it was bullshit. He didn't feel like dealing with it all. It was still a bittersweet feeling. He was alive, for the most part, he wasn't alone. Only he didn't get to tell the people he loved back home that he was here. He didn't get to see Eliot or Alice. He saved them but didn't get to enjoy that feeling because he was pulled away from it. No matter how good it was to see them say good bye to him. He didn't get to say it back. He only got the choice in moving on which really wasn't a choice. Then he saw it on the network. It was Eliot and at first he couldn't believe it. It wasn't very often that something good happened for them. Just pulling from experience but there he was. He felt his heart skip a beat. He remember hearing Eliot sing and wanting to go to him, only he couldn't. Now they were in the same place. He grabbed his jacket and ran to the park near the welcome center. His pace slowed as he saw Eliot. His breath catching in his throat he continued to walk over toward him. It was actually him, not the monster that had taken over his body. "Elio..," his voice cracked as he couldn't keep himself from crying as they were finally reunited. |
