Dean sighed into the kiss and hooked a hand around Summer's waist to gently tug her closer and deepen the kiss. They'd known each other for about a year now. He enjoyed spending time with her and liked that they shared the same interests. He became more of an introvert on Galador before Sam arrived; before Charlie. He'd never had the chance to meet Charlie where he came from, but he instantly felt that connection to her. She was like a sister to him. But it was through his relationship with Summer that he was finally coming back to himself. Perhaps not entirely the same as before, but that was okay too.
Once they broke for air he pressed his forehead to Summer's and inhaled, taking in her natural scent and the lotion that they'd just spread on each other. "You know, I don't know why we waited so long to do that." It felt natural. It felt right. He cupped her neck and traced his thumb along one side of her jaw and briefly kissed her again. He hadn't forgotten what she'd just told him and would likely bring the discussion back up again, but now that they'd kissed he couldn't seem to bring himself to stop.
