I've been thinkin' a lot lately 'bout everything. About the secrets I'm supposed to keep. About how horrible I am at lyin'. About how much weird shit is in this place. People here ain't even heard of Keppler, West Virginia, so nothing I say can effect anything back home.

I'm Duck Newton, and I ain't lyin' any more.

Of course once I get home I'll have to start up again. Folks' lives at stake and all.

That's the freedom you get from telling the truth, you lose that twisted up stuff. My lies were lies of omission. I think that's worse than lying out loud

I mostly tried the omission stuff. I ain't good at outright lying, I get all jumbled up. But from now on, yeah, I'm gonna say whatever I need to.
