I simply remember my favorite things... Who: Superboy and Wonder Girl Where: her place When: Sometime Monday Rating: TBD Open? No
...and then I don't feel so bad
Superboy was cooking as he hummed, or humming as he cooked, one of those, or both? Something like that. He enjoyed cooking, and he enjoyed humming and singing while he did it. He was celebrating a new temporary job, and enjoying the new cash it brought to cook a meal for Cassie, who had been so good to him when he first arrived. She has been a good friend, even if there is a little tension between them because he is not the Conner she is used to.
He chuckled as he recalled she was calling him Ralph, which, frankly, he didn't mind. He had even applied for an id with the name as an alias. Superboy was his legal name here, now, alias Ralph Titan. He danced a little as he cooked, pans and pots moving with him as his telekinesis controlled them all. Spices and food were applied to the right places, and a very good bottle of whiskey and glasses floated over to the table, along with plates and silverware. Since things were going so well, he felt himself smiling as it all came together,
An old song, one he remembered from the 'Tube', came to him, and he found himself singing. His voice was a deep rumbling tenor base and he let himself belt it out, not expecting Cassie home yet.
"*Raindrops on roses And whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things
Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels Doorbells and sleigh bells And schnitzel with noodles Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes Silver-white winters that melt into springs These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites When the bee stings When I'm feeling sad I simply remember my favorite things And then I don't feel so bad
