After dinner Nicky was feeling even more nostalgic as they walked hand in hand up the steps. "I know. This feels like old times." He agreed and nodded, gulping as he turned to her at the front door. "Well, maybe I should do something else instead." He said mysteriously, and leaned to peck her kiss before letting go of her hand and lifting her easily into his arms to carry over their threshold like he had assumed he would do someday in the future on their wedding night. He had done so quickly she would have little time to protest as he leaned forward and said, "Would you do the honors of unlocking the door now? Because I did not think this all the way through." he chuckled.
