Who: Kelly and Thomas What: After Thomas moves in to Kelly's place; he's going to admit to his love for her.... When: Backdated Where: Their place together
Thomas still had not told Kelly how he felt about her and yet he was living with her. That was a big shock to his system but he couldn't bring himself to throw himself at her when he was still angry at her ex who had done her wrong. And so he didn't tell her yet. But tonight he was feeling brave and was thinking how he would bring this up to Kelly finally. He took a deep breath, walked over to her bedroom door and knocked.... "Kelly, can we talk for a moment?" He asked choked up, but his voice actually sounded calm at least to his ears.
Kelly had been reading a bit when she heard Thomas come to her door. She set her tablet aside and sat up, taking a deep breath. "Yeah, come in," she answered cheerfully.
Thomas was supposed to be this big bad whatever he was and right now he was afraid to talk to his best friend. He sighed, stood up straighter and taller, pasted a smile on his face and walked closer to her. "Thanks." He added politely as he sat on the edge of her bed. "How are you feeling today?" He asked, sticking with small talk as he worked up his nerves.
Kelly took a deep breath, looking down for a moment. "Getting better," she finally looked up at him. "I know that it could have been a lot worse. Never thought I'd be thankful for a malfunctioning Infinity Stone."
"I'm glad. You had me so scared for so long." He repeated. "I was so relieved when I heard you were here, too." He told her.He was biding his time trying to make himself say what he wanted to say.
"I'm sorry that I scared you," Kelly frowned. "Not that I had any control over it."
"No it wasn't your fault. It was his. If i ever see that guy." He said, groaning.
"I know," she sighed. "But that night at school during exams when we saw each other? That was the night that I ended things with him. I had written him out of my life. I was done with him."
"And then that night,....." He trailed off, mentally kicking himself. If he hadn't of left her she would have been safe. Why did he leave her?
"It didn't happen that night," Kelly shook her head. "It was like... a few weeks later. He waited until he made the plans and paid off someone at the diner I was working at."
He breathed out in relief. That made him feel a little better. But still he was pissed. “I could kill him. If we ever get back..” he trailed off angrily. “But that’s not why I came in here today, Kelly. I didn’t come to talk about his negative energy.” He started, taking a deep breath trying to up his nerves.
"I just wanted to make that clear, I can't believe you forgot that there were a few weeks in between. I was happier, I got to spend more time with you. Everything felt right," Kelly tilted her head to the side.
"You were gone so long all the time blended together." He said sullenly. "Believe me the happiest few weeks have been since you appeared here and I knew you were finally safe" He said genuinely. "But, I um, wanted to tell you something..."
