The Question Is...
Who: Brian and Tina
Where: Outside XMH, then for a random walk
When: After this interaction, March 5th
What: Getting to know each other
Rating: Low to mild
After speaking to Brian on the network Tina met him a few hours later outside of his work with a recyclable mug of coffee in each hand. She'd picked blue jeans and a green camisole to wear and had gone without her trademark thick rimmed glasses and instead went with contacts. She didn't wear her glasses as often as she used to. She supposed she could always get corrective surgery while she was on Galador, but one thing at a time. Right now she was going on a date with a Justin Timberlake looking motherfucker. Oh god, if he has a great ass I might just faint she thought, smirking to herself before taking a small sip of her coffee while she waited for Brian. Handsome Brian. Yummy Brian. He wasn't going to know what hit him.
In a way, Brian still couldn't believe all this was happening. That someone (and a very sexy someone at that) was so eager to go out with him blew him away. It was also very ego-soothing, which he really needed. Tina was... seemingly a little odd, but very attractive, and definitely interesting.
As soon as he finished for the day, he hurried to the locker room, took a long, hot shower and changed into jeans, sneakers, and a red button-down dress shirt, splashing a little cologne on before tossing his things back into his locker.
Finally, saying goodbye (rather cheerfully) to a few co-workers, he walked out of the building, doing a double-take when he saw her there. She actually had a very doe-like, girl next door beauty to her as well.
"Hey there..." He grinned, walking over to her, "Thanks for meeting me."
"Thanks for meeting me. I've been looking forward to this all day," she replied, giving him a sugary smile as she handed him his drink. Still no verdict on the ass, since he was facing her, but he had a nice smile at least. "So... what's your speciality?" Which was her way of asking what department he worked in at the hospital. She figured he was a doctor since he'd mentioned patients in his network post, so it wasn't a huge leap in deductive reasoning. "And I promise that I'm not gonna keep the conversation focused on work." She very obviously checked him out then.
"Talk about anything you want. I mean it." Brian told her, just finding her charming as hell. "And I work in pediatrics and child psychology." He said, before adding, "I've always been good with kids, so I figured why not try to help them?"
"No kidding," Tina replied with a pleasantly surprised smile. "I'm a young adult author. See? We already have something in common." She beamed as she hooked an arm around his and set them off on a walk. She squeezed his bicep. "Geeze, you workout? You've got some guns on you, Brian."
"I.... I run every morning..." Brian muttered, adorably caught off guard here. He'd never been treated like some out-of-this-world catch like this before! Taking the coffee, he took a grateful sip, trying not to be obvious with how much he was BEAMING from all this attention. "Can't say there's a better way to end a work day than with a beautiful woman on my arm..."
"Well, I can think of one thing that would make the day better," Tina teased. This was a strong sensual woman. She'd tried to censor herself a little, knowing that she could come across as strong sometimes, but why hide who you really were? Who did that help? She squeezed his arm again.
Bless him, Brian actually snarfed on his coffee when she said that, nearly spitting it into the air. Luckily, he was able to calm himself enough to not do so. "Jesus... I was barely able to swallow there..."
"That's what she said," Tina replied quickly, laughing. Okay, so he was completely adorable. She couldn't help it but ogle at him. "You're not used to this kind of attention, are you?"
He just gawked at her for a moment, unsure if he should be feeling appalled, turned-on, or maybe a bit of both. "I'm really not. It's nice though. Just being with you is, really. You're... kind of gorgeous."
Tina tended to fluster men like this more often than not, so she considered it par for the course. "Well, thanks. Looking this good has worked for me for a while now," she teased with a cheeky grin.
"I can only imagine. I do my best to be a gentleman... but damn, sometimes it's awful tough to do." Like when he's walking with a girl he'd like to pin against the wall and do unspeakable things to, for one!
"Well, if you're a gentleman all the time how do you ever get the girl?" Tina teased. "Have I met a man who prefers to let a woman make the first move?" She gasped. "A rare animal indeed."
"I'm.... not opposed to making the first move." He said, before finally admitting with a blush, "I do tend to find it super hot though when the girl takes the initiative..."
"Something tells me that you and I will get along just fine," Tina replied. She had a habit of throwing herself at men but... well, she liked to think that she had a healthy outlook on sex and relationships. She liked him. She'd likely take him to bed soon despite not knowing him well. He was kind, worked with kids and was a doctor for fucks sake. She could do a hell of a lot worse. If something developed out of tonight, she'd jump on it (like she'd jump him!), but if nothing came of tonight? She felt that she'd be okay with that too. She was still young. Realistically she'd like to settle down, get married and have kids at some point, but that didn't have to be right away. She smooched his cheek. "Do we need to have a safe word?"
"A safe word. Listen to you." He chuckled, shaking his head. This girl was an absolute trip, and he could tell already there'd never be a dull moment with her. "So. Tell me about yourself." He said, turning to give her a sweet little kiss on the cheek as they walked. "I mean, I know you're ridiculously sexy, and you're hilarious... but I wanna know more."
"Well, whatever you wanna know I'm an open book," she replied honestly, sipping the last of her drink before tossing it in a nearby recycling container. "I have a brother and sister that came here with me. Gene and Louise. I think you'll like them. The family home/business is here as well. Bob's Burgers. Louise is gonna take over cooking until dad gets here." She fully believed that her parents would show up eventually.
"Well, now I know where I'm gonna have to go for lunch sometime soon..." Brian said with a grin. It occurred to him then... in a roundabout way, she'd already mentioned meeting her family! Now that was an interesting development... "You know, I don't think I've stopped smiling since we got together."
It seemed like Tina had no concept of taking it slow, huh? She beamed at him. "I feel like this smile is going to be permanently fixed to my face whenever we're together." And that certainly wasn't a bad thing! "What about you, Brian? Any brothers and sisters?"
"I have one sister, Cristina. She's a personal trainer, tends to work with a lot of famous people. Actors, actresses, athletes, etc. Kind of a spaz, but a good hearted person." He said, a little stunned that since he arrived here, this was actually the first time he'd even thought of his sister. "As for that smile of yours... that's good, because it's kinda beautiful."
"Well, I hope that I get to meet her some day." Tina replied. She figured that Cristina had to be just as kind as Brian, right? As for the other thing... "You know, keep calling me beautiful and I'll just as soon take a bite outta you."
"Is it wrong that my first thought was 'god, that's hot'?" He asked, giving a surprisingly devious grin as a light blush came over him. "Because... well.... it is. Totally."
"Mm, kinky," she teased. She stopped them walking and twirled to face him, looking up at him with those big beautiful eyes of hers. "How about we settle for a kiss first?" She barely gave him a chance before pressing up on her toes and kissing him.
His hands immediately went to her waist, gripping her by the hips as he returned the kiss with a surprising amount of pure need. He lost himself in the moment, and in feeling so wanted, before finally pulling back just a bit. "Wow." Really... he did have something to say there. He just couldn't really form sentences right now, ok?
Tina beamed. "Oh, you ain't seen nothin' yet." She pressed her body more firmly to Brian's and kissed him again, putting more passion behind it now that she'd gotten a taste of him. She ran her fingers through his short hair as she drew the kiss out, purring happily against his lips.
Well hot DAMN. That kiss unlocked a part of Brian that wanted to throw her against the nearest wall and screw like rabbits, regardless of WHO might be watching. "How the hell is a girl like you even single? I don't get it at ALL."
"Well, maybe I just haven't met the right guy yet," she replied with a shrug and a half-smile, lightly tugging at his shirt as if to emphasise that the right guy might be standing in front of her. Truthfully, Tina could be... intense and had a habit of scaring guys off. She didn't mean it! It was just... when she liked someone she tended to fixate.
Brian felt a flattered, blushy smile tug at his lips there. While most guys probably WOULD be scared off by such immediate intensity, Brian was one who tended to rush into things himself, so all he felt was utterly humbled. The way she was so free and wild... she reminded him a little of one of his many old crushes that never worked out, Rory. "I feel like I should warn you about how boring I am now though..." He laughed, deciding to just tell her more about himself at the beginning. "When I'm not working? Other than maybe hanging out at the bar, all I pretty much do is read, watch movies, stuff like that. I'm not exactly Mr. Excitement."
"You're a doctor, Brian," she pointed out, poking him in the chest before setting them at a walk again. She had no real set destination in mind. It was a nice night for a walk and what better way to get to know each other? "I feel like you'd get all of your stress and excitement through your work so of course you're gonna wanna relax in your downtime." She looked at him out of the corner of her eye and smiled slyly. "I might drag you out every so often but even if you're not up to it, I mean, what's so bad about reading and watching movies? Especially when you've got someone to snuggle up to while you do it."
"I swear, you're almost too good to be true." Brian blurted out before he could tell himself not to, deciding to just run with it. "It's like everything about me that other women typically run screaming from, you find endearing."
"I could say the same about you. Most guys get scared or figure they can 'put up with crazy' for a night. I mean, it's not like I don't use them too." She shrugged and then laughed. "I feel like that's a heavy thing to get into on a first date."
"Nah. Maybe for some people, but..." Brian paused, thinking of his words carefully. "I guess I've been the type to just throw everything out there on a first date too. So I get it. It's like... you feel a chemistry with someone, and a part of you wants to just make sure they don't get away from you."
Tina nodded enthusiastically. "Right? And I figure it saves a lot of pain heartache in the long run, just being honest with yourself and who you're with. I mean, I'm okay with being a good time gal, but an actual honest-to-god relationship isn't all that much to ask for, is it?"
"Exactly!" He replied, probably a little more enthusiastically than he intended. "Women want a 'nice guy', but as soon as they get one, he mentions wanting to have a family one day, and oh no, that's some big terror..."
"Shock horror," Tina replied in her best blonde bimbo voice. "Honesty, I'd like a big family someday. Like what I had. Gene and Louise, we'd have disagreements sometimes but we always had each others backs. I'm not at all embarrassed to admit that they're my best friends, even now."
"You know... I feel like we're getting each other enough that I can ask this and not offend you...." He said, pulling away to look at her, still holding her hand. "Would you like to come home with me tonight? I don't just mean for a hookup, so you know. Sure, I'd be happy as hell if we end up sleeping together, but... I want to spend all night talking to you, too. Getting to know you better."
Her face lit up like a damn Christmas tree, but of course she couldn't help but tease him, giving his shoulder a playful shove. "Well, I hope you're not a gentleman all night, Brian." She'd probably jump him first anyway! "But that sounds perfect."
"Oh, I think you can count on that...." He said, chuckling as he found himself already getting a little giddy over where this evening was heading. Tina was absolutely sexy as hell, and he couldn't help but think she'd be amazing in bed, as well. "You might just have to nudge me if I get caught up staring at you."
Oh, she could be a wildcat in bed. She nibbled on her bottom lip. "I'm okay with that. I draw the line at drool. You've been warned," she said mock-sternly.
"Shall we, then?" He laughed, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "We can always order out for anything else we want..."
"True," she said agreeably. She gave his arm another squeeze as they set off to his place, happy to amble, although there was a much more eager bounce to her step.
