Who: NM Liz and Kyle
What: Predisappernce hook up.
Where: His place
When: Tonight
Warning: Nah.
Liz and Kyle had been hanging out pretty much every weekend and she wouldn't have it any other way. That night, instead of going out to eat or dancing, they were just hanging out at his place watching movies and eating take out that she picked up on the way there. No, it wasn't Crashdown food! They ate enough of that at home so she wanted to take advantage of the wide variety of cuisine offered on this planet. "After we're done eating, we should do the chill part of this Netflix night" She teased, leaning in to her shoulder hit his with a grin on her face. That was probably what would happen. They usually couldn't get enough of each other by the end of the night.
***
Kyle grinned as he brought an arm around Liz and pulled her close, "well, you know me. I can't turn down a good codeword. Even though we may be a little older for such things." He leaned in and pressed a few kisses to her jawline, "but I think that it's you that I can't resist even more."
***
"You're never too old old to Netflix and chill" She pointed out as she leaned into him, setting her mostly done paper plate beside her. "And we are not over 30, don't make us sound ancient just yet" She added on, pointing at him playfully as she turned towards him with a grin. "I am pretty irresistible" She said as she turned towards him, her arm going around his chest. "And so are you" She told him as she leaned in and gave his neck a few kisses.
***
Kyle nodded with a small groan, "we are definitely not too old for that. As long as I have you close, that's all that matters." He slowly began pulling her onto his lap, "have I apologized for being an ass when we were kids?"
***
"I'm surprised you didn't sing your feelings at me when the cupids were here" She commented as she moved into his lap, one leg going on either side of him as she slipped her hands under his shirt. "Not yet. We tend to gloss over the whole ugly break up thing" She said as she began running her hands over his abs. They were one of her favorite parts of him.
***
Kyle nodded, "yeah, I really am, as well. Probably some cheesy boyband song. Even busted out some dance moves." He licked his lips as he raised up his arms so that they would work on pulling his shirt off. "Yeah... that night... I don't like to think about it."
***
"Okay now I wish you would have" She said with a laugh as she pulled his shirt up and tossed it on the floor, her hands going right back to his abs afterwards. "It was a pretty bad night for everyone" She commented him with a bit of a frown as she thought back to it. "When I was getting ready for prom, I told Rosa I wasn't sure about you anymore because you were so nice to me and a jerk to everyone else. I'm so glad you're different now" She told him, leaning into give him a soft kiss at that.
***
Kyle nodded after returning the kiss, "and it's true. I was. I've got plenty of time to make up for that now, though. You know... when I'm not making up for lost time with you." He grinned and began tugging her shirt up.
***
"Have you talked to Alex yet?" She wondered, knowing that he was the one hat Kyle really needed to make up with. A break up was nothing compared to years of bully your childhood friend because you're trying to be cool. Making up with her was the easy part. A look of concern about his friendship with Alex was there for a moment before a smile was on her face again when he talked about them making up for lost time. "Mm you're getting there with me" She told him as she raised her arms up so her shirt could join us on the floor. "I'd say you've got about 9 years and six months to go"
***
"I sent him a message yesterday," Kyle nodded. "Haven't heard back from him yet, though. Granted, I'd be surprised if he does at all." He knew that apologizing was the most he could do, along with reaching out. The next step was Alex's. There wasn't much more Kyle could do until he responded. Whether it was forgiveness or a middle finger, Kyle had to be prepared for whatever there was to come. "That's a lot to make up for," he groaned with a playful pout. "That could take a while."
***
"Give him time. He'll reply" She told him with confidence in her voice. Why was she so sure? Because it was Alex. He was the most understanding guy in the universe and not the type to hold grudges. It was possible he just hadn't seen it yet. "We'll get through it somehow" She laughed at this groan and moved to get up from his lap so they could move into his bedroom. She didn't want to start things in the living room again. "Thanks for tonight. I really needed it" She told him sincerely as they walked to his room shirtless.
***
Kyle nodded, "I know he will. I've just got that nagging feeling in the back of my mind saying that I don't deserve it." He took a deep breath, standing up and taking her hand as they made their way to his bedroom. "You are very welcome. Life was already hectic before we came here. Now it almost seems non-stop. The least we could do is be there for each other."
***
"Everyone deserves a second chance. I gave you one, he will too" She replied, giving his hand a squeeze as she looked over at him. She could have written him off back home and not gone to see him at all when she was in town but she didn't because she knew there was good in him. Hopefully somewhere in him Alex does too. "I've never felt so emotionally drained and pulled in every direction before" She told him with a heavy sigh. Turning around, she sat down on the bed and just sat back on her hands for a moment. "I'm having a sister day with Rosa tomorrow" She told him with a smile. "I'm going to catch her up on some movies and music that she's missed over the years"
***
Kyle nodded, "as you should. We all have another chance with her, but mostly, you do. You need to make the most of it. Enjoy as much time with her as you can. I gotta ask, though..." he began to undo his jeans, "does she have any idea what happened to her yet?"
***
"And the other me. As much as I don't want to share her, I kind of have to" She told him with a displeased look on her face as she reached out to help him with his jeans. She was in the right position for it while she was sitting down. "Michael mentioned the words 'dead girl' to her but I'm not sure if it registered to her based on her response. I don't really know how to approach it"
***
"Yeah, the sooner the better, but with as much tact as possible," he sighed as the thought of telling Rosa about her fate and why they were all ten years older than she remembered them, letting her help him undress. "But seriously, it's going to be weird having two of you for me, as well. I haven't taken the time to introduce myself to her, yet. I should, though."
***
"I am amazing at tact" She stated in a matter of fact way as they undressed him together. At the mention of the other her, she stood up so she was eye to eye with him as she spoke. "You should probably go apologize to her too ... but not at all in the way you've apologized to me" She told him with a bit of a smirk on her face as she yanked his boxers down. "That is for me only"
***
Kyle chuckled, nodding. "No, no... just because she is essentially you, that does not mean I'm going to try and romance her, as well. But from what I can tell, their history is mostly the same, so she probably had to deal with teen jock me, as well."
***
"I haven't talked to her much yet" She replied with a shrug as she began undressing herself now that he was naked in front of her. She thought about bringing up her non conversation with Max about them but she decided not to because it would be just weird with what they were doing. She'd save that for after.
***
Kyle grinned as he helped her get undressed, as well and climbed onto the bed with her kissing her lips, then a trail down her neck and onto her collarbone. He was done with talking for the moment. If they didn't fall asleep right after, they could always continue the conversation in the morning.
***
Liz was happy to leave the conversation there and focus on the task at hand. As much as she enjoyed a good conversation with him ( it was actually cathartic for her to have someone to be so open with ), they'd done enough of that for the night. As per usual, once they started they didn't stop until they were both exhausted and she ended up sleeping over again. Something different happened that night, though. She disappeared. Just poof! It was like she was never there, even though all of her clothes were still there. Something strange had definitely happened.
***
Kyle woke up in the middle of the night, having rolled over and noticing that there wasn't someone next to him, like when he had fallen asleep. He sat up with a start, looking around. He saw that her clothes were still there, but otherwise, she was no where to be found. He was exhausted, but that didn't stop him from finding his phone and sending here a "where are you?" before getting comfortable once again. Something was definitely strange, but everything was in their lives lately. He wasn't sure if he should send a message to Maria right away, or wait until morning, to see if Liz responded to him yet.
