While most new arrivals on Galador would follow the clearly laid out path towards the Welcome Center to determine where they were and what was going on, one arrival decided on a more direct route. She decided to interface with the nearest computer, transporting herself through the electrical network that surrounded Freedomtown. She caused a dimming of the lights and electrical grid as she passed through it, collecting information, but once she found something familiar she made a beeline towards it.
Brayden (for now) had a fairly small and cozy place compared to the beach house he had back home... but at the end of the day? It served it's purpose. That purpose? Wasting time until Talia (hopefully) showed up by burying his fear in as much pussy as he could entice into his bedroom. And tonight was no exception. His latest conquest, a fun blonde named Cathy, had literally just left. Sure, in a few minutes Bray would get up and get a shower... but for now? He was just laying in bed, enjoying the smell of sex in the air.
The lights in the room flickered, then turned off momentarily and when they came back on a young blonde woman stood at the doorway, eyes crackling with electricity. "Found you," she said with a lopsided smile as her eyes settled to their more natural blue. Her eyes flicked over his nude form and she raised an eyebrow. "And you've been having fun without me," she tsked.
"Talia!" He almost yelled, eyes widening in sheer joy. For all his prickish ways, one true and pure thing about Brayden was how madly, passionately, and absolutely he loved this woman. He hopped out of bed, wrapping his arms around her. "I knew it. I knew you'd show up. There was no way anything was gonna keep us apart for TOO long..."
Talia didn't have to ask Brayden how long he'd been there. She'd picked the information up along the way. She hugged him back, letting herself relax into his embrace. Her journey to his apartment had taken some energy out of her, but fortunately not as much as it would have if she'd searched town by town. "Nothing ever does," she replied, kissing a spot on his neck. "You reek."
She was so tiny compared to him, yet somehow, they managed to look 100% perfect for each other. He held her, lifting her off her feet as she kissed his neck. "Shame you couldn't have shown up a little while ago. You'd have loved this one." He said with an affectionate laugh, before taking a moment to just stare into her eyes. God, her beauty just blew him away, no matter how many times he looked at her. "Fuck I missed you, baby girl."
She caressed his cheek. "I've missed you too," she replied. She knew that the amount of time they had spent apart was different for each of them, but that didn't change the sentiment. She trailed her fingertips through his hair, lightly scratching his scalp with her nails. "Tell me what you've been up to."
"Who gives a fuck." He said simply, giving her a loving, affectionate squeeze. "Nothing matters before this moment right here. You're my everything, babe." Kind of amazing, how this guy could be such a prick to 99% of people, then such a tender, sweet man when in this young woman's presence.
"I give a fuck," she replied, pushing his shoulder back playfully. She then set her hands on his shoulders and wrapped her legs around his waist, as if them having a conversation like this was completely natural. "You might not think much of your mental health, but I worry, so indulge me and tell me what you've been doing." She glanced over at the bed and quirked an eyebrow. "And who you've been doing it with."
He laughed, as she knew him so well by now. He drowned his stress, his sadness, and his anger all in the same way: random one-night stands. "Well. this one was a dancer named Cathy. There's also an Amazon goddess. And I've been working on hooking up with a vampire chick as well." He gave her ass a good squeeze, loving the way she was wrapped around him. "But right now all I can think of is the gorgeous lady I got in my arms at the moment..."
"Very smooth transition," Talia purred, tapping her fingertip to his nose playfully. Yep, this woman had transported herself through electricity; and had just come to an alternate reality easy as you please and didn't seem phased by it at all. She wanted to ask if he'd been looking for work or what else he might have been doing, but there was time enough to answer questions like that later. "Now you," she smacked his cheek playfully, "shower."
"Only if you're coming with me..." He said, not even remotely kidding. Right now? He didn't want to be away from her for even a moment. "I ain't letting you out of my sight right now."
"Is that an order?" Talia asked with a sly smile. She knew when to tease him, but she also knew when he was having a vulnerable moment too. She unhitched herself from his embrace and took hold of his hand, leading him over to where she assumed the bathroom was. "I'll join you," she promised, luminous blue eyes taking him in. "As long as you promise not to be gentle."
"...when the fuck am I ever gentle?" He asked with an arrogant little smirk, deep down feeling, finally, like all was right in his word. He'd said it a million times: the world could be falling apart... but if Talia was with him? None of it mattered. "Good thing I don't have any plans... cause I don't plan on stopping for HOURS."
"You're like my little energizer bunny," Talia replied as she toed out of her sneakers, kicking them to one side. "You just keep going and going... and going..." she teased with a lopsided smile. Talia didn't do humor very often, or well, but when she did it was always a comment that came out of left field.
