She Has NO Shame!
Who: Alex and Jean, then Holly
Where: Alex's hospital room
When: Friday, July 10th (After her scene with Wade)
What: Alex hitting on everyone
Rating: Low, although there's some leering
After her talk with Wade, Alex went back to reading her book for about half an hour before sighing heavily and setting it aside. Generally she liked reading, but damn it, she had too much going on in her head to focus, and so, dressed only in her black underwear and a hospital gown that didn't fully close at the back, she decided to explore the hospital. For such a big place it was so damn empty.
While Jean was obviously one of the most hyper-powerful people aboard the entire space station, this teenaged version of her was choosing to utilize her time here in a more common, but no less noble way: she'd been helping Lauren out at the hospital, making sure patients had whatever they needed, getting supplies, whatever was needed of her.
She'd just finished her shift for the day, and changed into the outfit she was going to go visit Peter in: tight black jeans, a powder blue midriff tee, and a black leather jacket. "Bye, Holly! See you tomorrow!" Jean said cheerfully as she walked away from the main reception desk, toward the elevator lobby. On her way, she stopped in front of Alex's room, to check her communicator, just in case Peter had messaged her.
Of course, that was the exact moment that Alex decided to step out of the room, colliding with the younger woman. Normally she would have gone off on a tirade, but she quickly snapped her mouth shut when she saw who she'd run into. "Whoa there, Red," she said, grabbing at Jean to stop her from tumbling over. "Didn't see you there."
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Jean said with a dazzling smile, sticking her comm in her back pocket. "That was really rude of me. I was just... ok, I admit, I was just checking to see if my boyfriend had sent me a message. I'm officially a stereotypical teenager."
"That's sweet," Alex replied, eyes flicking over Jean's frame briefly. Jesus Christ, you're checking out a teenager, she thought. "And, just out of curiosity, what exactly are you doing in a hospital? You don't exactly look sick to me." She looked the girl over again and quirked an eyebrow at her. I'm going to hell. I'm totally going to hell. Still, she didn't exactly stop.
"Nope. Totally healthy. I volunteer here." Jean said, her tone just pure sweetness. "I'm Jean, by the way. Are you one of the new people that just came in? I know we had a few new arrivals over the last week or so..."
Wow. This girl was just a darling, wasn't she? Alex couldn't help it but think that prison would just eat her up. "I am... definitely one of the more interesting people that you're going to meet." Well, she didn't think much of herself, but she tended to put up a front. She offered Jean a hand. "Alex."
Jean smiled and shook her hand, an eyebrow going up when she noted the tattoos on the woman's wrist and lower arm. "Wow... nice ink. I wish I had the guts to do that... I can fight an army of aliens, but the thought of someone tattooing me? Totally freaks me out." Poor thing. She really had NO IDEA Alex was checking her out.
Alex found it utterly hilarious. But then, since coming here she found a lot of things hilarious. She leaned against the door frame to her room, eyes hungrily soaking Jean up. "Is it the pain that worries you, or the idea that you'll like it?"
Jean actually blushed there. She never really thought about "liking" pain, although she HAD thought a few times about asking Peter to spank her. Which is pretty much what brought on the blush. Shush. "More than anything, it's the idea that I might decide a year down the line that I don't like it anymore. Half the time I can't decide on what shirt to wear, so imagine me trying to pick something to permanently have on my body?"
Alex bobbed her head from side to side. "I guess I can understand that. Still, you have to live a little and even if the tattoo is something you might not like down the line it'll still be a hell'va story." She moved her hand up and used her fingertips to brush Jean's hair away from her face. "But if you get something stupid like 'Trust No Bitch' in white ink then I might just lose all respect for you."
"Oh don't get me wrong, I'm all for trying new things... I mean, you can't really live the kind of life I do and not be willing to try things you'd never thought of..." She said, thinking of such things as time travel, taking on The Shi'ar, meeting future versions of her teammates... "And yeah, a tattoo like that? Way too aggressive and mean for me." And aww. She actually blushed a little at the hair-brushing.
Now while Jean was thinking of time travel and such, Alex's mind couldn't ... help it but go to more explicit things. She quirked an eyebrow and tried not to laugh, considering how one could take Jean's words. "Well, what about flowers?" She asked, turning to one side to show Jean the tattoo on her upper arm. Of course she noticed the blush, which made her curious. Was the girl completely oblivious, or was there something deeper going on there?
"Oh, wow. That's BEAUTIFUL." Jean told her, lightly brushing the tips of her fingers across the tattoo. "Something like this wouldn't be bad..." And yeah, she was starting to realize that she was being flirted with. But it was subtle enough that the redhead just found it flattering. She wasn't into girls (other than that weird bond she'd briefly had with Jill), but who didn't like being flirted with by an attractive person?
Well, thank god Alex was being subtle. God forbid what Jean would think if she was being more obvious. "See, tattoos don't have to be a political statement or have some kind of story attached to them. Sometimes they can just be something beautiful." She leaned her head against the door frame and added: "And trust me, the pain is the best part of getting one."
"Well... I'll say one thing: some women look better than others with tattoos. You make them work. I think it's your confidence.. it's like you naturally just make people wanna know you better." Jean decided, nodding to herself as she said it. Alex was quite magnetic, as even after a few moments of talking, Jean was intrigued enough by the woman to want to know more about her. And she envied how she carried herself. A human, with no powers to speak of... who managed to own the room around her more than most superhumans she knew.
"Thank you. That's really sweet." And killed and further desire that Alex had to fuck with the girl. Heh. Before she could say much else, however, Jean's communicator trilled in her back pocket with a message from Peter, which said:
"I'm out the front, waiting for you. And I might have borrowed someone's car." Dean's car, to be precise. Peter truly had a deathwish.
Thank goodness. If she'd have actually made a move on the girl, Jean would've likely had a damn heart attack. "Ooo. The Boyfriend is outside. I'll stop by and check on you tomorrow though! Nice to meet you, Alex!" Jean gave the woman a happy little wave and turned toward the door, a little bounce to her step. Aww. Think someone had it bad, folks?
Alex watched Jean leave. ...Okay, she watched her ass as she left, but no one said that she was a goddamn saint, okay? Once Jean was out of sight, Alex sighed heavily. Now she had to find a new form of entertainment. Hrm. She wondered if the receptionist was around. With a new mission in mind, she cocked her head to one side to look at the nearby reception area. Surely the woman couldn't be too far away.
As Alex looked over toward the reception desk, Holly couldn't help but start laughing, and gave the woman a playful smirk. "Not blamin' you a bit for looking, hon... just letting you know she's not entirely legal..." Holly laughed, having seen the two chatting down the hall.
"Not even remotely gay either, but there's no harm in looking," Alex replied in that dry tone of hers, smirking as she made her way on over to the reception area. She stood at the opposite side of the desk from Holly, setting her forearms on the desk and quirking an eyebrow in challenge. "C'mon. Are you seriously telling me that you've never snuck a peak?"
"Jean? NO! She's not even lega- ok, fine I admit I might have checked her out quietly a few times. Tell no one." Holly said with a loud giggle. "How're you feeling, Ms. Vause? I'm guessing better than when you were brought in..."
"Alex, please." Alex winced and moved slightly so she didn't put pressure on her injured forearm. "I'm feeling a lot better. Just need to remember not to, y'know, do anything with my arm," she joked. Her eyes flicked over Holly's form quickly. "What about you? How're you doing?"
"Well, even though I have a nametag..." She stood up, straightening her skirt and pointing to the nametag she wore on her simple gray sweater, "I'm Holly. And I've been ok. It's an adjustment, obviously, being here... but aside from missing my best friend, I'm actually doing pretty well up here."
Alex jutted out her bottom lip, her impressed face. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Holly. Just out of curiosity, how long have you been here?" Alex was still trying to wrap her head around everything, to be honest.
"About a month or two now?" Holly answered, giving a cute little grin and nibbling her lip. "Everyone's been really great though... for the most part, the refugees have banded together, and Cosmo and the others take really good care of us."
"I still can't get over that there's a telepathic dog in this place," Alex replied, fluttering a hand near her forehead. "I mean, what the hell, man." Okay, that lip nibbling was cute. She rolled her eyes at herself. Stupid horny criminal, she thought. "Is it all that different here from where you're from? The people, I mean. Not being in space."
"The people? God yes. I mean, we have 'superheroes' too... but I not these ones. I've never even heard of any of these people. To make it weirder, there's a version of my bestie here, but she's not the one who knows ME."
"I've got you beat there. I came through with a woman that on most days I despise whose nickname is Pennsatucky. The fact that that's her nickname gives you an indication of her IQ." Alex said dryly. Still, suddenly she found herself curious. "Superheroes, huh? Does that make you one?"
"Nah. I'm just the lovable best pal of one. Although I did help her out by taking her place for a while once..." Holly chuckled, still shocked she managed to make it through that alive.
"Oh really now? Do tell. And if there was an outfit, please be explicit." This woman had been in prison for a long time, okay! And had only fooled around with two people. Of course she'd ask that. Alex quirked an eyebrow. "And even if you don't, I have a very active imagination."
"....skintight black vinyl, head-to-toe, with a mask and pointy cat-ears?" Holly smirked, giving a cute little shrug as she described the catsuit. "The woman that NORMALLY wears it though, she fills it out a LOT better than I do. Selina's no joke in that thing..."
"Oh, I dunno." Alex chuckled huskily and rested her elbow on the counter and her chin on her open palm. "Thinking about you in an outfit like that would get me through many a lonely night." She really couldn't turn it off at this point, but she saw no harm in it.
"Well, then it's a shame I don't have it here... I certainly wouldn't have had a problem with snapping some pics..." She laughed, honestly just enjoying being flirted with. It had been a long time, really. "If nothing else, my time as Catwoman gave me a chance to wear a really sexy costume, so... I should thank Selina for that. If I ever get home, obviously."
It was a shame that she hadn't been flirted in a while. Alex thought that Holly was nice and, not to mention, good looking. "Trust me, I'd thank her for the both of us if I could." She chuckled huskily. "You know, once I get settled her I'd love to take you out some night." She didn't beat around the bush, did she?
"That's ironic, because I was JUST thinking that I'd like to be taken out some night." Holly replied with a lopsided little smirk, before deciding to test the waters of how open the woman was. "So... before you got here... what were you in for?" She asked, her tone not judgmental at all... merely curious. Clearly she'd seen the prison clothing Alex had arrived in, hm?
"Well now, doesn't that work out well?" Alex lilted. She was grateful that Holly asked why she'd been in prison. It was better than tip-toeing around it and making things awkward. "I wish I could say that it was something interesting, but... I was a drug smuggler. And briefly an addict, although that's more me putting everything on the table than something that I was put in prison for."
"Honey, don't even worry about that. Trust me... for how I lived the first half of my life? I have been there, done that, and bought the damn t-shirt." She told her, giving a soft, understanding smile. "At least you have a clean slate here, you know?"
"That's one way to look at it," Alex agreed, instantly deciding not to mention her meeting with Wade Wilson. Wade had said that she'd be a hero of sorts, but until she got a sense of the work that she'd be doing for him, she'd rather keep that to herself. "I'd ask what your history is, but then what would we talk about when I take you out?"
"I like the way you think." Holly laughed, beaming a little. "I'll say this though. You're not the only one who's had their drug-demons to deal with. So... yeah. I feel you."
Alex quirked an eyebrow, as she often did when she found something curious. A drug habit wasn't something that she'd expect from Holly, although you'd think that she'd know better not to judge a book by its cover by being in prison. "Can I ask what your poison was?"
"Heroin. Luckily, my bout with it didn't last very long... not long enough to do any lasting damage to my body anyway." She scrunched her face up then, which was far cuter than she'd intended. "At least... as far as I know, right?"
Alex nodded. "I could talk your ear off about the long-term neurological damage that persistent drug use can cause, but... I'm trying to get into your pants here, so I'll just say that mentally and physically you seem amazing."
"Luckily, looking like that, you probably won't need to try TOO hard, even with an admittedly odd lead-in like that..." Holly told her, giggling sweetly. "It's a shame Selina isn't here. We'd make a great group: drug dealer, master thief, and ex-prostitute. It's like a really bad sitcom waiting to happen."
"We'd be like Charlie's Angels. Hot ass bitches ready to kick ass and take names," Alex agreed. She looked Holly over briefly and couldn't help it but smirk as something came to mind. "So I have a chance, huh?"
"I'm fairly certain I'd have to be dead from the waist down to have NO interest in you, honey." Holly chuckled, shaking her head. "I mean let's not even pretend that you don't know how gorgeous you are. So yes... As far as taking me out on a date goes? I think if you ask me, you'll find the odds in your favor."
"Well, in that case, once Dr Hotpants lets me leave and I get settled in a place on my own, can I take you to dinner one evening? Anywhere you wanna go, I'll take you." It almost came across as sweet what she said... if you didn't have her end goal in mind.
"That sounds great..." Holly said, silently wondering where the woman was going to get the money for any of this. "I can think of far worse ways to spend an evening than with a sexy woman at my side."
"It's settled then." Alex grinned. "So, for now I'd better go back to my room and play patient, but expect a call soon." She winked.
"Alright.. Have fun in your room. Try not to think of poor underage Jean, you perv." Holly told her with a playful tone, cutely poking the tip of her pierced tongue out at her.
