"I was born here." She paused a moment, then clarified, "Well, on Earth, that is. I grew up on a reservation in Pennsylvania and moved to New York when I was nine, after my father died. Then after a long, complicated series of events, I found out his business partner Wilson Fisk was the one who'd killed him. Which was about when we met." It was, strictly speaking, true, though left out a lot of the uglier details about her life that she didn't much feel like getting into right now. The first time they'd done this she hadn't spared much; the connection she'd felt with him had been... comfortable, like she was talking to an old friend. And exciting. Maybe she'd grown a little since then, though, because she felt a little hesitance at the idea of just throwing everything out there and hoping it fell the right way.
"Then you put me in touch with the Avengers and I've been doing work for them off and on ever since. Mostly undercover until now." And again she found herself glossing over a few of the details. Her affair with Logan. Her affair with Clint. Her-- alright, she was mostly glossing over affairs, to be honest. Not that it would likely take him long to realise that she was an unashamedly physical person and a wee bit of a hedonist.
