Who: Marilyn Arnold & Nicky Pike
What: While Marilyn is settling in, Nicky comes to visit.
When: February 6th, around 9:00 p.m.
Where: Carolyn & Jordan's place

While Marilyn was at the Welcome Center, the staff set her up in an apartment in Riverdale. But it was late and she was exhausted, hungry, and relieved to see Carolyn again so she decided to crash with her and Jordan for the night. Marilyn didn't even mind taking the couch. It was her first night in a new town, heck a whole new planet, and she wanted to be around family. Plus, Nicky had said he would come and see her tonight. Tomorrow, she would buy some clothes and food, and settle in her new place.

Marilyn peeled off the clothes she felt she'd been wearing for ages and put on an old pair of sweats and a long-sleeved waffle knit of Carolyn's. As she walked through the living room, she marveled about how normal this all was. This is exactly the kind of thing she'd do at home in Stoneybrook.

The doorbell rang and Marilyn went to answer before the babies could wake up. Standing in front of her was Nicky Pike, her ex-boyfriend and first love. The first love she was trying to get over to make her relationship with Andy work. She wasn't sure how that was going to shake out since Andy was on a whole other planet now.

"Is it really you?" Marilyn asked Nicky before letting him in. She knew there were many doubles floating around Galador and didn't want to let in an impostor.

Nicky walked over to Jordan and Carolyn's that night anxious to see Marilyn for himself. He might be missing Haley, but Marilyn was still a big part of his life and so he needed to see her right now. He was there when she arrived. "It's me..." He said quietly as he stepped toward her. I wonder what Haley thinks of me being just gone. Or am I still there but another version of me is here, too? He thought to himself as he hugged Marilyn, holding her tightly, waryily.

Marilyn allowed herself to relax in Nicky's arms for a bit. She missed Andy a lot, but she'd also known Nicky Pike since they were kids. They'd grown up together, which made their eventual romantic relationship that much sweeter. Nicky had taught Marilyn everything she knew about loving someone, and despite their breakup she thought him to be one of her closest friends. If Andy couldn't be here with her right now, she was glad Nicky was.

"How did you get here... when..." Marilyn trailed off. "Did you come alone?"

Marilyn really wanted to ask if Nicky's girlfriend Haley Braddock had come to Galador as well, but didn't want it to come out wrong or make things awkward.

Nicky was having mixed feelings about being here without Haley. He felt like he was cheating even though it isn't his fault that he is there and Haley isn't.

He shrugged. "Not sure. I was actually at the gym when I felt the pull and got sent or brought here." He tried to explain.

"I wonder if you and Carolyn being twins has anything to do with you being here, too." He admonished.

Marilyn both loved and hated the feelings that swirled inside her as she listened to Nicky tell his story. She loved him, part of her always would, but she had Andy at home, likely worried sick about her. He didn't deserve to be cheated on emotionally, which is what Marilyn felt like she was doing right now. It wasn't her fault that they were apart right now and Nicky happened to be where she was. So why did she feel like she did something horrible?

"It's possible," she said of Nicky's twin theory. "Carolyn and I have been together since birth. Maybe this place refuses to keep twins separated."

"I don't know, Jordan is here too," she said, referencing Nicky's oldest brother. "Maybe this place wants siblings to be here together, too? Should we expect Adam, Byron, Mallory, Claire, Margo, or Vanessa to show up here soon?"

Nicky watched his ex-girlfriends face and sighed. He hated seeing her in any kind of distress and hated more that he might be the cause of it.

"I don't have a twin but I do have a double here so maybe there is something to the doppelganger thing." He shrugged, because he wasn't sure.

"It wouldn't be bad if all the Pikes showed up. Crazy, but not bad. Can you handle it if more than just Jordan and I show up?" He laughed.

"If I could handle all of you in Stoneybrook, I can handle you all here, too," Marilyn laughed.

"So... are you living around here? The Welcome Center set me up at an apartment near here. I'm going to move in tomorrow, not that there's much I have to move in," all Marilyn had arrived with was the clothes she was wearing. Though she could deal with that, her piano was back in Stoneybrook, the one she'd played since she was a child, and there was a chance she'd never see it again. That was something she was unhappy with.

	Nicky laughed. "Everyone loved us Pikes." He joked. He nodded. "I got a house nearby. I wanted to be near my family." He told her. "I got a big enough one in case anyone else shows up I have room." He added. "It even has a piano you know. If you wanted to come see it sometime. It's got a huge yard, too, so the triplets can play back there." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Marilyn wrapped her arms around Nicky once more and hugged him. She couldn't help herself; he always made her feel safe and protected and she needed that in this new place. After a few seconds, she pulled away and yawned. "I should try to get some sleep. Tomorrow's move-in day. But after that... it's piano time," she smiled. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I'm not hearing any crying," Marilyn craned her neck to listen closer for baby noises. "Maybe they decided to get their sleep in while the babies are quiet. I would if I were them," she laughed.
