Then that's how long I'll wait
Who: Penny and Sin
Where: Monstropolis
When: December 27th
What: Good question
Rating: Low?
While she'd only been on Galador a little while, Penny had already found an apartment to live in inside Monstropolis, had been given some clothes to combat the snow (although being a vampire she didn't feel the cold like a human would) and was currently perusing the store fronts in Monstropolos, idly wondering if she should apply for a grant to open her own store here. It certainly couldn't hurt to ask, could it?
"Hey there, Pornolicious." Had Sin Stone come to Monstropolis just to hunt down Penny? Possibly. But shh. She felt alone and was already battling her depression problems, so excuse her for tracking down one of the people she had strong feelings for. Wearing skintight pink jeans and a Powerpuff Girls tee under a black leather jacket, the currently dark red-haired slayer put on her best forced smile, crossing her arms. "Funny meeting you here."
"Hey there stalker," Penny replied, pulling Sin in for a hug whether she wanted it or not. Sin actually was one of Penny's favorite people from back home so forgive her for holding the hug a little longer than necessary. "How're you holding up?"
Feeling a little more bold in this place, Sin cheekily reached down and squeezed Penny's ass mid-hug. "It's rough. I mean... this place is freekin' amazeballs, but... with The Momz or Quinn? I feel like everything that held me together at home is gone and I'm just this.... open sore or something."
Penny smacked Sin's arm playfully at the ass squeezing. Since the day they'd met they'd always been flirtatious with each other. "You're not an open wound. You just need something to focus you until they get here."
"But what if they don't?" Sin asked, pursing her lips. "I mean.... all of us kinda turned up within a week or so of each other. What if that's it? I mean, are you seriously ok if you never see your gal again?"
Penny pursed her lips together. "As long as I don't piss anyone here off, I have the good fortune of living forever and if that's how long I have to wait, then that's how long I'll wait." It was kind of funny how much of a romantic Penny had become considering that prior to meeting Grace she basically slept with just about everyone that she met. "So I'm choosing to keep busy, to live some kind of life here."
"Well, in the meantime.....I mean.... we are both alone right now..." Sin reminded her, half-teasingly. Shut up. She'd ALWAYS wanted to sleep with Penny, ok? "Crap in a hat... I feel so lost, you know?"
It actually was kind of a shame that Sin had met Penny after she'd met Grace -- although Penny would likely tease that she'd ruin her for other women. "Well, I'm not gonna say that I'm not feeling lonely myself. Y'know, there were whole days when I didn't leave her side." She wrinkled her nose cutely. "I don't know if that makes me overly clingy or what." She laughed. "But I learned very early on that it's important to have things separate from each other, too," she pointed out.
"I don't think I can stress enough how important Quinn is to my mental health." Sin admitted, realizing she'd never actually said this aloud. "With her at my side? I'm cool, brave, confident... without her? I'm a freekin' train wreck, Penny. Remember how bad I fell apart when we broke up? It's like when she's not with me.... there's a part of my mind and my heart missing that I just can't function without."
Well, clearly Sin won the gold medal for being emotionally dependant on her partner with Penny a distant second for silver. "Well... shit," she grumbled. "Well, you've gotta find a way to make things work here, however long it takes."
"Well duh." Sin told her, raising an eyebrow as if that was the dumbest thing she'd ever head. "Easier said than done though. I have little mini panic attacks every time it hits me that she's not here. And OH EM GEE, Penny... other than you, I don't even have my besties here to hold me up."
"And what am I? Chopped liver?" Penny asked with an amused laugh, trying and failing to sound offended. She wrapped an arm around Sin's shoulders and gave her a side-hug. "C'mon then. You can help me with my project. Hopefully that'll take your mind off of the future Mrs. for a while."
"....I said other than you..." Sin grumbled cutely, huffing a little. "What's this project? And most importantly, is it something we can listen to Motorhead during? I'm feeling the need to hear Lemmy's golden voice."
"I'm sure we could find a bar that plays Motorhead afterwards, if it interests you." Penny did take a moment to look at Sin and while Sin had said as much about her mental state, Penny could see how down she was physically, as well. This wouldn't do well at all. "I was thinking of seeing if I could open my store here as well. Maybe you could help me look for places that are up for lease," she suggested.
Sin may not always act it... but she was a smart girl. And she knew damn well Penny was essentially trying to essentially do whatever it took to keep Sin's mind off of Quinn. And it touched her heart deeply. She made a mental note to one day find a way to show this woman what her friendship meant to her. "Yeah, why not? But on one condition: if I haven't found a job yet by the time you get it going... you gotta hire me."
Penny laughed, just picturing how hilariously inappropriate Sin would be with the customers. She crossed an 'x' over her heart. "Promise me that you'll be on your best behavior." She almost thought about threatening Sin with the knowledge of what her parents bought at the store back home but ultimately decided that that was too cruel.
